That's fine, but it doesn't really seem more impressive than Obama's record.

For all the talk about Obama not having many accomplishments his resume looks pretty impressive.

He pushed, lobbied and worked to help improve border security and co-sponsored a bill with a prominent GOP Senator called "Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act"

He also added amendments to the Comprehensive Immigrant Reform act. In addition he lobbied for more secure borders with the Secure Fence act.

He also initiated acts which were cosponsored by two different GOP senators

One was dealing with weapons threats posed by terrorists and another was the Coburn Obama Transparency acts, which requires various funding of candidates to be made public.

There was also another bill co sponsored with yet another Republican, Kitt Bond. This Bill was the Defense Authorization Act, which helped look after the personal welfare of U.S. troops.

This is only a small portion of the work he's done in the Senate.

I don't call his accomplishments lite. They show he can work across the aisle, get things done, and he's been in Congress a quarter of the time Hillary has.

I think Obama's accomplishment are sometimes diminished because his overall campaign message is much broader than just the issues. His ability to speak well, and strive for a bigger message actually causes many in the media and public to overlook his considerable accomplishments. I think they compare very well with hillary's.

I'm disturbed that people want to tar NASA because of the words of the creature who has taken over MR MEOWGI's computer, or attack John Fitzgerald Kennedy because they don't like Mr. Obama, who has done everything short of wearing a Jack Kennedy rubber mask to place the Kennedy aura around himself.

This is a big day in politics. We should be wondering about the returns, not swimming in the muck of the Bobbsey Twins... texxxx and Trader_J, or whatever alien who has taken over MEOWGI's mind.

No. I said, with a lot of words, that events 27 years ago can be significant is all.

Thats the thing about "change" with no definition of what it is - it becomes up to interpretation. You choose to (wildy) interpret it as Civil Rights 2K. I interpret it as trying to get people to expand beyond their border and participate (for his sake). Yes there's tones of looking down from the mountain top and seeing a "Better" America, but not to the degree where it conjures up images of Negros and Whiteys walking hand in hand in beautiful harmony

Anyone see how McCain is polling in the battleground states against Obama. OH, FL and PA -- yes PA will be in play if Obama is the nominee.

Careful what you wish for libs...

Yes - so far, Clinton & Obama fare equally well in OH, MO and FL. Obama fares slightly worse in PA and substantially better in NH and CO (21 pts better in CO). Of course, he also has yet to do any campaigning in PA - everywhere he has campaigned thus far, his numbers have rocketed up.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/latestpolls/index.html

Look over the last two or three days. Also, nationally, he consistently outperforms Hillary head-to-head vs. McCain.

    What exactly was your point?

"Equally well" is a nice attempt at spin. Let's put it this way, if McCain takes OH, FL, and PA, that's darn near impossible to overcome.

Furthermore, part of the Obama numbers increases due to his campaigning is b/c people didn't know who he was. Hard to make that case now, after the media sploogefest and idol worshipping that we've seen all over our TV and internet over the past 2 months.

You do realize that Democrats are out polling Republicans nationally by 2 to 1 right?

Well nobody can really tell the future, but your track record has been as bad as anybody's so far.

No, the national polls showing McCain vs Hillary or Bwak head to head does not indicate that. You are erroneously referring to primary participation, which is a function of many variables and of no predictive value.
