I do hate it...but I'll admit, posting pointless drivel like this sure does pass the time, I kinda see why they do it. And I have the time.
A nice little nugget in the latest gallup poll Gallup also finds that Obama has gained among middle-aged voters, women, and self-identified Dems. Gallup's conclusion: Obama has cemented his status as the candidate with momentum in the race, "holding a statistically significant lead in each of the last three tracking poll results." http://www.gallup.com/poll/104428/Obama-Gaining-Among-MiddleAged-Women-Hispanics.aspx
Excellent! Assuming Obama makes it to the general election, being able to unite these groups will be critical (and similarly for Hillary & African-Americans and young voters should she make it). Also a good potential sign for Texas.
via TPM -- SurveyUSA: Hillary's Ohio Primary Lead Shrinks To Nine Points A new SurveyUSA poll gives Hillary Clinton a nine-point lead over Barack Obama in the Ohio primary — quite a bit less than the 17-point lead she had in their poll from just a week ago: Clinton 52% (-4) Obama 43% (+4) Hillary would need big wins in Ohio and Texas on March 4, if she wants to really narrow Obama's current lead in pledged delegates. As it stands right now, Texas is a dead heat and Ohio now appears to be tightening. [edit] SurveyUSA has been all over the place with their polls. So take this one with a grain of salt.
if she loses today in Wisconsin and Hawaii, she's gonna need to win over 60% of the vote in both Texas and Ohio to catch up.
I think any polls about TX and OH are premature. If Hillary scores big wins in WI today, then momentum might swing her way, and completely change the polls of the March 4 contests. If Obama wins big, we could some numbers go more his ways. The polls are interesting as a snapshot, but I don't think either candidate should base future plans on them.
With the tightening up in TX and OH in recent polls, Hillary is done if she loses Wisconsin convincingly. The game will be over except for the score. I'm guessing Wisconsin will be close and the vote today won't have much effect on TX or OH by the time March 4th happens.

Have y'all seen this? This is powerful. Apparently Waller County (which includes Prairie View) decided to only have one early voting location, at the Courthouse in Hempstead. 1000 Prairie View A&M students and 1000 more supporters made the 7 mile walk from Prairie View to Hempstead to vote. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xvDAiWWuvRg&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xvDAiWWuvRg&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
