You can't help but to appreciate a guy like Shane, who will fight a dude tooth and nail even when he knows he is overmatched. I see the president is truly a fan of the sport in it's truest essence and not just the highlight reel.

Good for Battier, but its just good PR on the President's part. Sports fans are notorious for not following politics and this kind of thing is done to get their support for policies they have no clue about Its similar to that barackatoligy crap espn was soaking up for what seemed like weeks. it's not PR. Obama loves basketball dude. He played it all his life and they Tivo games for him and he watches what he can when he has time Plus Reggie Love is a personal friend of Battiers, there's no question Prez watched this game.
