I like this statement from Obama far more than what I'd heard earlier. I feel better about his attitude towards NASA, but I'd like him to flesh out his proposals for NASA and space exploration, especially manned space flight. As I've said all along, if he gets the nod, I'll vote for him in the general election. I'm leaning towards Edwards right now in the primary. Could change my mind.

    Impeach Bush.

Big space exploration/ science has always been a major Dem core issue (think Kennedy) -- Obama will strongly support Nasa.

It looks like Obuma would rather support his b*stard baby diaper exchange program than space exploration:

And his "stance" on space exploration is nothing less than deceitful.

Senator, how are you going to find that money when the economy is so bad, and when the country is in debt and deficit mode?

Well, what we're going to do is, we are going to delay or cut programs that I don't think are as high a priority. And we've identified a range of ways that we can save money in terms of how we purchase goods by the federal government. There are some programs related to NASA, for example, that we would not eliminate — but defer — so that the spending is spread out over a longer period of time.
