I walk to work, BOO YA and btw for assuming that Obama controls the MTA you are assessed with a 40-DAY METROCARD OF SUCK
I never said Obama controlled that...YOU did. I just said enjoy the higher taxes and transit fares. I guess you walk to all parts of NY right? You never take any type of transit in NY? Even in the rain or snow? Wow you are good!
Yeah! That's it. An Obama-Bot who doesn't have to pay gas and has enough circuits to own (subpar?) humans. Also, I don't think robots pay tax. Added incentive I guess.
It's funny, when you have RocketRichNYC on ignore, you can really get a sense of the posting frequency when he enters a thread, as each post is just a big red horizontal line. It's like a machine gun.
Hey RRNY, you still maintaining your charade as a Hillary Democrat? Why does it bother you (and others) so much to see our new president be diplomatically successful, and dare I say it, presidential, on the world stage? Is it just that he makes the former standard bearer look even that much worse in comparison?
I think the bombing run Obama laid down before he came in for final approach let the terrorists know he meant business. This is something you wouldn't see from a republican administration.
If you call appeasing other world leaders looking presidential - than have it. He acted like he was running for POTUS instead of BEING the POTUS. In the end, what did he accomplish? The other countries he visited are still doing what they want do. In the end, he didn't get the troop commitments for Afghanistan he wanted and needed from NATO, he couldn't get the UN Security Council (Russia and China) to support him in regards to N. Korea, and he committed Billions of US tax payer dollars to the IMF which now the Europeans are going to dictate how that money is going to be spent. Great job!
Analysis President Obama's world goodwill 'campaign swing' is a big hit WASHINGTON - President Obama's glowing reception overseas was no accident. That's because the new commander in chief's first international tour was as much a campaign swing as it was global summitry. The reason is simple: While Obama and his strategists wanted to come home with some tangible results, they were even more interested in laying the groundwork for bigger prizes later on. And the only way to move notoriously stubborn international elites in America's favor, especially after the chilly relations of the Bush years, is to win over their people first. "One of the things that will make it easier for the leaders of these nations to work cooperatively with us ... is the fact that we have a more positive image among their constituents," top White House adviser David Axelrod told reporters Tuesday. So we saw Michelle Obama in all her glory on the European stage, getting choked up with schoolgirls one day, and even hugging the Queen of England on another. Obama didn't just attend an economic summit and meet with nearly 20 world leaders. He held a half-dozen news conferences and two very campaignlike town hall meetings, taking his messages directly to the people. That message being: It's okay to love us again. "You will find a partner and a supporter and a friend in the United States of America," Obama told students at a town hall talk in Istanbul, where he insisted he was different from his predecessor, even if it might take some time to see just how different, as he shifts America's path. "Moving the ship of state is a slow process," he said. "States are like big tankers, they're not like speedboats. You can't just whip them around and go in a new direction." Observers felt the agreements Obama won on his trip were relatively modest, including a commitment of 5,000 NATO troops for Afghanistan, a promise to pump billions into the International Monetary Fund, and Russia's pledge to work on cutting nuclear weapons. But the goodwill should boost the return down the road, they said. "It was a campaign - a successful campaign - to sell Obama overseas before the real negotiations have to take place," said Princeton University's Julian Zelizer, a politics professor. "He's trying to export some of the tactics he's used in the campaign here," Zelizer said. "It will be much more effective when he asks for things from Europeans down the line." The White House was privately thrilled with the results of the tour. "I don't think anyone imagined going into this trip that it was going to be this successful," a senior aide said. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/pol...president_obamas_world_goodwill_campaign.html
b-b-b-but mcmark, he's been president for almost a whole 100 days now and "he didn't get the troop commitments for Afghanistan he wanted and needed from NATO, he couldn't get the UN Security Council (Russia and China) to support him in regards to N. Korea, and he committed Billions of US tax payer dollars to the IMF which now the Europeans are going to dictate how that money is going to be spent"
Again, he went to Europe like he was running for office. He's the POTUS. He WON! He doesnt' have to prove to the Euros. They have been following this election just like the rest of us. Closing the deal is what counts. That is why he was elected. The notion that he's setting things up to ask for more things down the line is pretty arrogant. That's a pretty big assumption that everyone will just fall in line later when he asks. He can fool the American people but he won't be able to fool the rest of the world.
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." I feel so duped...good thing the rest of the world can see through his schtick. Those crafty Euros didn't seem impressed or interested in him at all.
