I once had a lot of hope that this administration would change the momentum of the Bush presidency. In the end, it seems this administration like the last is serving the big Multi-National corps. Welcome to the International Corporate States of America, where national sovereignty is overridden by corporate interests. Really surprised when I read this it had not been posted here. It is from the the Huffington Post afterall. Can the fan boys defend this? Perhaps it is issues like this that can bring both sides together in an attempt to undo the damage that partisan politics is facilitating. Taxation without representation while the wealth transfer continues.
It's interesting that fanboys is tossed out when most lefties on this board have been exponentially more critical of Obama than any conservative posters have for any Republican politician. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if one day soon one will be required to be a part of a corporation before they can even donate money in a political election.
The funny part is that the lefties have actual arguments about Obama's problems, while the teabagged folks just scream OMBAMAS IS OSAMS SOCIALISMS!!!! MULSIMS!!!!!
Rocketman95, you're right, I should not have tossed out 'Fanboys'. I think most all are past the point of defending 100%. Either way, it would appear our electoral process is flawed when Romney is pushing the same bill.
Agreed. Obama generally plays to populist outrage against Wall Street whereas Romney doesnt even pretend to care about the lower and middle classes of this country. The problem comes in when people view a PR strategy as being representative of the candidates actual policy intents, which it frequently is not.
Good grief. Spare me the pity-seeking hyperbole. Bush rightfully was torn up and abandoned by plenty of former supporters, you might just happen not to remember. I've always been a lurker in D&D but Bush almost singlehandedly changed me from a disinterested Republican to a rabid anti-neo-con. Remember that I'm not defending the Tea Party. It doesn't require you to defend one group in order to criticize the other - I wish people would avoid that type of behavior. Obama doesn't take nearly enough criticism around here.
