Well, I guess it's cool of him. Honestly, I'm struggling to be impressed. I give up about 8% of my salary for various causes and it's much, much smaller than his, and much more necessary to my well-being, yet I'm perfectly comfortable with it.
Just for clarity: Ron Paul said he would decline a presidential salary and take the median American worker salary.
Just for clarity, I would like Mr. Paul to resign from the Senate and work as a "median American worker" for a few years. Please pass that along to the chump, OK?
Ron Paul is already retired from the senate, I think he got booed off during his retirement address LOL.
Obama gave 14% to charity based on his last tax return. the 5% is more symbolic than anything. It's a gesture. I don't think it's meant to impress anyone.
I can't believe I'm bothering to respond to such an arrogant and condescending prick, but I'm just going to point out that I'm not making any allegations. I don't give a crap about how much Obama spends on his vacations and I don't care how much time Bush spent on his ranch. Note that I have exactly one prior post in this thread, and it was responding to one particular point: that travel costs to Texas vs Hawaii would be the primary difference in the costs of the two Presidents' vacations. This struck me as unlikely. However, I'm not emotionally invested enough in my intuitive feeling here to spend hours doing research itemizing the per person spending of each presidential security detail during vacations. Thanks, though, for reminding me why I had you on ignore.
