Damn it. I had to sit through O'Reilly and his trolls for 30 minutes. He said Obama is up next, who knows.
O Reilly just admit that history will say the war in Iraq was wrong. Now Obama is admitting that the surge has succeeded. edit: I take that back...Obama is not admitting he was wrong about the surge.
Thank God! Obama did a magnificent job in answering O'Reilly. He came away as Presidential. Kudos. I feel so much better about voting for him.
what he said was the surge WAS A SUCCESS BEYOND ANYONE'S WILDEST DREAMS IN TERMS OF REDUCING VIOLENCE, but this is where obama's right: the iraquis, who have a $79 billion surplus, still doesn't have political reconciliation and take care of its own government, and still jacking our $10-12 billion monthly. obama, as shown SO FAR, to know A LOT about foreign policy. and he's a guy, unlike the crazy bill who wants to go to war anytime anyday, who wants diplomacy first, but will go to war if need be. that's the president we need. he should earn points so far. let's see how the rest of the interview goes.
Good interview, I thought. I like Barack. I said on here awhile back that I was done with him due to his nutty/racist pastor, and I still don't like that, but I'll admit that I like Obama. Not saying I'm gonna vote for him, but I like him.
and you had to applaud obama's calmness when he did that. even if you disagree with him or his experience, he seems ready.
Because he goes after everyone. He's irritable and can be a bully, but he doesn't pull any punches, and he'll go after anyone whether they are conservative/republican, liberal/democrat, bad guys, big business, etc. I don't agree with him on all points, certainly, but I like his show, and my reasons why are above.
I don't see how he was unprofessional. He asked pointed questions and wasn't going to let the interview be a talking points regurgitation. Obama did a FANTASTIC job with his answers thus far, and O'Reilly complimented him as well both in the interview and after it when analyzing. I don't care what anyone says, but I'll take an O'Reilly interview over anyone else in the business right now. His interview with Hillary Clinton completely changed my view of her (for the positive) and this first part made me feel a lot better about Obama as well.
if you watch his shows and some of his other guests, at times, he just SCREAMS and YELLS at them talking over them without letting them speak. fortunately, he let obama speak here. he nearly derailed several questions by talking over obama but obama kept saying, "bill, bill, bill" so he can put his answers in.
