The earth isn't round. It should have been done a long time ago. Homosexuals should have been allowed to marry a long time ago. But the way things are, are the way they are. Did this give homosexual partners more rights? Why yes it did. They now have more rights than they had before, so no matter what you say without providing any reasoning, it is indeed a step for equal rights.
