If wcbstv.com is not CBS, then I stand corrected. But good luck on finding my comment re Obama's community service via googling, Sammy. I have never shown slightest interest in Obama's religious background (nor have I posted anything about it for that matter). Another swing and miss, Fish. Oh perhaps you are also on 80-20's mailing list (did you pose as an Asian American sometime somewhere?) and have received a mail or two from them about Obama's religious background. I must have missed them. Do share, Sammy. TIA.
It is not CBS - and I don't see your source anywhere. Link? So it came from a chain e-mail then. Ok. Yes? I pose all the time.
Poor Sammy, I thought you know how to google. Here is the source -- part of the left-/right-wing/Chinaman co-conspiracy web, btw: http://wcbstv.com/national/Barack.Obama.illinois.2.279854.html You see there are three specific things disputed by the former co-worker concerning Obama's community service. I could have berated Obama on all of them but I generously left out the last one on belief that it was more of the opinion of the co-worker. Thanks.
Lol! No wonder you didn't link us to it. WIth shocking revelations like these: "And, they claim, Obama didn't work cleaning up asbestos at Altgeld, but fiberglass, another environmental hazard." I can't believe you didn't include this salacious detail in the copy/paste of the random chain email. Perhaps you should reconsider. 1 more question - did you really think that WCBS-TV in Chicago was the same as CBS Corporation, formerly part of Viacom, etc...? Or were you just trying to pass it off? Be honest.
While fiberglass as a health hazard has been recognized it has never gained nearly the same notoriety as asbestos. More importantly, unlike asbestos whose production was banned decades ago, fiberglass has never been outlawed and is still in mass production. That Obama falsely claimed he cleaned up asbestos when in fact (assume the lady told the truth) he merely scooped up some fiberglass is not much different from me saying I helped clean up some old nuclear waste dump site in my state when all I did was emptying a few trash bins in office. Maybe no. What's the BFD? PS. Sam, feel free to update your finding on the chain email wnes received wrt his comment on Obama's community service. Any time. There is no statue of limitation on it.
Umm- he worked at getting CHA to do the removal of those materials in the projects, he didn't do the physical removals himself - he was a community organizer, not a general contractor, OSHA certified to do asbestos removals. You need to get your facts straight.
Um - there is no specific mentioning in the wcbstv link that Obama never had a "hands-on" experience in his community service concerning fiberglass or whatever the crap he managed. On the CBS part, do you see this from the same link: Hazel Johnson says she worked with Sen. Obama in Altgeld Gardens in the 1980s and that in his first book and in speeches, he has exaggerated his role there. CBS Not exactly a perfect piracy by wnes (he tried his best, though), but the three alphabets CBS are unmistakable.
Hazel Johnson and her daughter Cheryl are disputing some parts of the version of events Obama tells. They do not, however, dispute that he worked hard at Altgeld Gardens and say they are supporting his presidential campaign. "I like Obama. And I think he's a young, bright and intelligent man, and I wish him all the luck in his endeavors," Johnson said. ____ They sound extremely unhappy with Obama.
Errr, fiberglass is dangerous?! I had no idea I even bought all these fiberglass dining chairs last year
A fiberglass surf board isn't dangerous. Fiberglass is used in many different ways, however, and can be hazardous. I don't think that should be an issue. Impeach Bush.
Dick Morris' take on all this is quite interesting, especially in light of his service to the Clintons during their gubernatorial and White House years. If he is correct in predicting her South Carolina strategy (and he has been so far), once Hillary uses the race card as trump, where else can the black vote go? http://www.dickmorris.com/blog/?p=241#more-241 Oops, sorry. I meant this for the Super Tuesday thread.
Now that's just ridiculous. Under a democracy we have the right to raise questions and challenge the record of candidates. We have the right to criticize candidatest we don't like. I can't vouch for Wnes' info and have my own suspicions that its credible but to argue that just because he and some other ethnically Chinese posters don't like Barack Obama so the Chinese aren't ready for democracy is ridiculous. I mean that would be like someone saying that SamFisher isn't ready for democracy since he criticized GW Bush. I know you're probably making a joke but if so its a bad joke.
He was probably working with fiberglass insulation which can be hazardous. The fibers can irritate the skin and respiratory tract.
That's what I assumed, and as far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter if he got his hands dirty mucking around with the stuff, because working with the community instead of grabbing a big payday is admirable. Impeach Bush.
yeah I'm just backtracking through the thread right now to see how the hell we got here. I think some peopel need to realize that when they make a crack at a specific person, it might affect other people who don't really have a problem with him, i.e. calling someone a son of a b**** doesn't actually insult the person, but really insults someone who has nothing to do with the swearer in the first place.
you're going to punish the dude because he didn't call his father a jerk, yet you want to punish him because his grandfather owned some land. you're all over the map, you'll attack anything he says. this crap isn't even worth defending, just pointing out your asinine criticisms shows you are neither impartial nor creditable.
Remember, Dick Morris made a comment about the Clinton's "marriage" a few years ago that basically said they no longer had a marital relationship.
