I think he's saying that it's clear you haven't been down to that area based on your comments. If you knew the area you'd realize that you can't even see the WTC from where the mosque would be. And it's full of all sorts of places including bars, strip clubs, and guess what, there's churches right across the street from the WTC. This is just an issue being used by political candidates leveraging Islamaphobia to win votes. They even say this is a victory for jihadist or that Obama supports the terrorists, or that it will be taken over by extremists. All of these statements are meant to drive fear or they demonstrate gross ignorance. Maybe both, but certainly not neither. And you are playing that game too, and frankly, it's despicable. When you put politics above human civility and even one of our most basic tenants as Americans, it's really scary. This is a wake up call to how much conservatives really don't care for the constitution. Religious freedom is not meant to be under "the will of the people". It's meant to be protected at all costs. No matter how unpopular. Obama's statements are 100% accurate and true to our constitution - to criticize him is to criticize our founding fathers and the very foundation of our nation itself. Wake-up america, this is really a sad day.
Man you are quite the tard. Maybe you can go bomb the six that already exist. Be smarter next time you steal an argument from your fellow registered republicans/freerepublic/stormfront.
built in 1920. 'tard. i'll grant you the point however, if you'd agree to move the mosque as far away from GZ as the temple is from the Arizona: 7 miles.
LOL. That's just one example. But if you insist on this line of argument, it's not as if they *had* to go through with it.
What does that have to do to with anything...? Is that some kind of pre-requisite for posting in this thread...?
So A german shouldn't be able to build a beer garden or sausage stand within 7 miles of the Holocaust Museum right? Because you know, if that happened, the Nazis would claim victory.
Dude, just stop. Equating a beer garden and bratwurst to the nazi establishment...? Really? For some reason you are bending over backwards to try and disassociate Islam from 9/11, probably just to piss off pub-tards, and while watching basso get all miffed is funny, it's still a fool's errand which screams denial of reality.
Such as...? Random pissed off rednecks on the local news burning copies of the Qu'ran while holding their bibles notwithstanding, of course.
I'm still just dumbfounded what rationale can plausibly be used to prevent the "mosque" (it's not really a mosque as I understand it) from being built. The whole thing is confusing to me. If it's legal, what's the big deal? I submit the only logical answer to that question is "bigotry and media-induced misinformation/ignorance".
