Kids might read this board. I would expect you, as a parent, understand that. Pardon me if I don't want to be quite as profane as you are. Prick.
Afraid to be falsely accused of being muslims by "smart" and "Educated" people like you. And by smart, I mean completely r****ded.
i'm still trying to find a quote from anyone in the obama circle that supports the premise of this article.
basso, do you have a job? family? anything outside making threads on this board about things absolutely no one gives a **** about?
Actually I wonder about that with a lot of people. Heck the only reason I have been able to post so much is work is really slow and I still don't come even close to the volume of many other posters.
Yeah but your posts have a logic behind them, you are interested in actual discussion, and don't try and outfox the facts of issues you care about. basso spends all the time he does without any regard to having a discussion, the truth, facts, or anything else. I can't imagine what he gets out of it. To spend that much time and not get anything out of it, is truly bizarre.
He enjoys flustering people who irritated him at some point. You'll notice that he is silent when you are infuriated, but active when you show mild interest. I do wonder why he does it, but at the same time he's perhaps the only person here who posts articles that I never seem to see when going through my daily rotation of newspapers.
on topic: (sort of) True dat. We've all been rope-a-doped! Well played basso. There's no credible source saying this was the reason for not visiting the Golden Temple. The rationals noted here... that he couldn't cover his head because the Big Bad Becks would make fun of him...is just weak. I think it would reflect terribly on his leadership -- if it were true. But it's not. So reps for the OCP pic. And shame on the rest of us. i think basso giggled.
are you suggesting that the NYTimes, linked in the OP, is not a credible source? if so, i wouldn't necessarily argue with you, but i find it an interesting characterization from a member of the "some."
By source, I was referring to a named source in the article. An unnamed whitehouse, or temple official contemplating the effect of headgear hardly means that was the reason for cancellation. I saw lots of reprintings of the story, comments on the story and denials of the story. But nothing that really corroborated the contention that the cancellation was because the President was afraid of being the cat in the muslim hat.
O'Bam I am? that O'Bam I am, i do not like O'Bam I am. I do not like him Sikh or greek, i do not like him (falsely) meek.
Does anyone else find it amusing that Basso starts one thread criticizing Obama for fearing to put on garb that makes him look Muslim then starts another one criticizing firing someone for saying they are fearful of people who wear "Muslim garb"???
High praise indeed but I doubt everyone shares that assessment. Heck I don't even share that assessment and there are plenty of times I post something and read it later and say to myself "WTF?" Anyway I wasn't talking about quality but just the sheer amount of posts. It really seems like a lot of people seem to have a lot of time on their hands.
