I didn't think you'd be able to muster a response. That's what happens when you go bear hunting with a stick, rookie.

Funny how Trader goes on and on about an INVASION of a foreign country when everyone else is talking about a tactical special forces squad put into a section of the country in which the goverment has no control.

You know what's really funny about the bush lovers like TJ's reaction to all this is that Obama is basically parroting what Bush has said he would do in Pakistan if there was sufficient evidence to strike.

From a July ABC news story

Strike by U.S. in Pakistan Is an Option, Officials Say

By Walter Pincus and Joby Warrick
    Washington Post Staff Writers
    Thursday, July 26, 2007; Page A16

Top Pentagon and State Department officials said yesterday that U.S. Special Forces would enter Pakistan if they had specific intelligence about an impending terrorist strike against the United States, despite warnings from the Pakistani government that it would not accept U.S. troops operating independently inside its borders.

The statements were the clearest assertion yet of the Bush administration's willingness to act unilaterally inside tribal areas in northwestern Pakistan where al-Qaeda's top commanders are believed to have taken refuge. But the officials also voiced strong support for President Pervez Musharraf, who they said has repeatedly backed U.S. anti-terrorism efforts in the region at great political cost.

"If there were information or opportunity to strike a blow to protect the American people," U.S. forces would act immediately, Peter Verga, the acting assistant secretary of defense for international security, said during an unusual joint session held by the House's Armed Services Committee and Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

WTF - those are just people who are eligible to join the military. That's essentially a census count of all males between 16-49. The same page lists total troops as 1,449,000, which is the correct number of troops.

If everyone just goes home and chills in their own countries then there would be peace. Terrorism is an overblown problem, hell we didn't even give a shiet until 9/11....Nobody wants another countries troops in their land, lets just leave everyone alone and see what happens, if we get attacked again, then we'll do what we have to do....give peace a try....

    From the article you cite...

Approximately 619,000 personnel are on active duty in the military which is the world's 7th largest armed force as of 2007. Combined with the 302,000 strong Paramilitary forces and the Coast Guard, the Military of Pakistan has a total size of nearly 1,000,000 personnel.

According to your "logic," our military is 67.7 million men and 67 million women strong for a total force of 134.7 million.

Now, why are we having troops do multiple tours in Iraq again?

Are you libs telling me that if invaded, the Pakistani army would not expand their ranks to include those currently not in the military? You boys are still reading from the Obama hymnal of naivete. This isn't even including all the radical nutjobs that would pour into the country from other places.

But I can understand your embarrassment, after thinking you were right and then getting smacked with some knowledge... You boys ought to be used to it by now.
