The irony of it all is that Clinton is really the one out of touch. I mean, to think people are jaded by politics and her husband shafting people with NAFTA is hilarious.

The dirty truth is there's nothing that could save those manufacturing jobs. You simply can't compete against factory workers willing to work for a dollar an hour. That's life.

The real truth is you better make your kids do well in school and get them into college so they can go after jobs that are more secure, either that or they will end up with mcjob. Manufacturing jobs are going abroad because it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to do them. Any physically abled person can do it.

Hillary will spin this and try to use it to get party leaders to over rule the popular vote and make her the nominee.

And I and a whole bunch of other people will vote McCain!

    McCain 2008!!!!

    Just say no to Hillary!

the one thing obama is out of touch with is people who hunt and gun owners in general. Alot of people do. Ottoman addressed this in the second admendment thread. All kinds of people hunt/fish and camp. Educated, rich, middle class, its not just a bunch of angry white middle class men. in the south it encompasses all races and classes. Its not just obama who has this misconception, and growing up in the places he did I can see how he would have that misconception.

hunting isn't about some angry men playing war games in the woods. its just a liesure activity.

This is something that I hadn't really thought about. I do not hunt. I have a lot of friends who do. What I can tell you is that this is more than just a hobby to those who do it avidly. It is an integral part of their lives.

Anybody who would talk about abridging their right to have a gun will not be popular.

Although I am not a hunter, I do enjoy shooting my handguns at the range. I would not enjoy having a President who would look to take that from me.

Well as bad as clinton would be it seems Obama will be worse for RTKBA.

The Clintons have learned that messing with the RTKBA is not politically smart. Clinton admitted this was a large reason the congress was lost after the Crime Bill.

According to one poll, Clinton has opened up a 20 POINT lead in Pennsylvania. Are the wheels falling off the O'Bitter bandwagon? Sure looks like 'dem 'der hayseed hick gun-toting religious zealots aren't taking to Obama's closed door condescension in San Francisco... Who'd have thunk it?

People wonder why politicians are never honest and aren't real.

Well - here it is. Because people can't handle the truth.

Are you aware that rural voters in Pennsylvania have had guns and belonged to churches for hundreds of years? This is a totally absurd cultural characterization of rural America by Snob-ama. These people did not rush to go out and find God or guns when they became frustrated and 'bitter' with life! How stupid. How ignorant. But you think that is the truth? What planet are you elitist libpigs living on? Seriously, what makes you guys so out-of-touch with the voters?

What if McCain had said that blacks living in the 3rd ward have become frustrated and bitter and as a result are clinging to violence and drugs? Would that be a kind of 'truth' that people couldn't handle? Just hilarious stuff, folks.

The truth is that rural Pennsylvanias and small town Americans are out of touch with the world. They are so wrapped up in their short-sighted lives that the larger factors that truly impact them - they are simply blind to them. And people like Hillary are able to manipulate them on this because no one wants to tell the peasants they have no clothes on.

So they vote about having their guns or around abortion because they think that's important. Meanwhile people like Hilary and Bush just ship their jobs overseas.

That's the point Obama was trying to make. However, Hilary and McCain know that the rural folks are ready to hear that, they can't take it. So they will capitalize on it.

This is why politics are they way they are...and why these people feel politicians are out of touch. Because shooting a gun and drinking shots makes you one of them even while behind their back you screw them over.

Clearly, they'd rather have Clinton screw them over than an "elitist" like Obama actually effect change for the better. And that's their choice - their out of touch with reality choice.

This is just hilarious on so many levels. I wanted to quote it just to capture it.... misspelled words, platitudes, botched cliches, lies, and ignorance.

Boy, you libpigs really know how to construct an argument! LOL

It's beneath me to even respond to this steaming pile of doggy manure, but I just couldn't resist -- especially when it's written by a typical obama jock sniffing supporter.

You do realize I'm sure that that poll has had wild fluctuations over the last few weeks. Anyway, yes, the ARG poll has Hillary at a 20 point jump today. Although several other polls Jorge neglects to site shows no discernable change from their last polls (Rasmussen and Gallup). Also several prominent newspapers (including Hillary’s hometown paper in Scranton) have endorsed Obama this morning.

While I certainly disagree with what you think is important, I'm only going to debate one part. Jobs are getting shipped overseas (and to the Sun Belt) by companies, not by governments. And the reason why is simply because of corporate tax rates. Much of the rest of the world is slashing corporate tax rates, while the US is keeping them basically flat, and Rust Belt states are increasing them. Right now, the US has an average corporate tax rate of 35%, second among countries with reasonably free economies only to Japan. Barack Obama wants to raise the Federal portion of the Corporate tax by 10%. That will really ship jobs overseas.

Want to add something. The average corporate tax rate in Pennsylvania is 41.6%, higher than any other government with a reasonably free economy in the world except Iowa. Promoting job growth really isn't rocket science.

That is totally wrong. Jobs go overseas for a number of reasons, but the main goal is to create wealth. If your tax rate is higher in the US, that's an incentive to move to a lower-taxed regime. Taxes play a huge role.

American worker productivity still generally makes up for most differences in wages. A cut from 35% to 25% on the Federal Corporate tax rate would put the US in line with most of the EU, and would even the playing field considerably.
