Obviously not if you think dollar inflation alone is to blame for pump prices increasing three fold in a 10 year span. In 1998 I paid regularly 90 cents/gal at the pump. In summer 2008 [& part of '12] I was paying over $4/gal. This has more to do with deregulation benefiting big money & big oil. [like everything else gone wrong in the 2000's]

You took the lowest price 12 years ago, highest price in 2008 without paying attention to what went on in the world, without taking inflation into account and claimed gas price is 3 times what it was 12 years ago. That is just bad math and bad logic. That is all.
