He promised Change...from the regular Washington Politics. Oh wait, he picked a DC insider of over 20 years. That's not change...That's more of the same!
obviously you haven't been paying attention. every time obama uses the word change, he includes the name bush with it. when he says change, it's change from bush and bush only. he never claim to reform america and washington like mccain and palin are.
The old quote... Is if you put PERFUME on a Pig...it's still a pig. Not lipstick. That is a direct dig at Palin.
did you even hear the whole sound bite? they just played it on TV and there's not even a hint of an attack on palin. even huckabee agrees. only crazy fools like sean hannity who likes to live in his own far-right world would think so.
The BOTH of them are saying they are going to CHANGE Washington. It's not just BUSH Obama is attacking. He's attacking DC as well. He's the one saying Washington is broke. McCain is saying the same thing as Obama...but the difference is, he's saying he has a track record of going against people in DC including his own party. No....they are both riding the CHANGE DC Train! It's up to the American Public to see which candidate they are going to believe.
Yea I heard it...The audience started to cheer AS SOON AS HE SAID "lipstick on a pig" they KNEW EXACTLY what or WHO he was referring to or they wouldn't have responded like they did. The whole country KNEW what he was referring to.
As of this post: "lipstick on a pig" - 118,000 hits on google "perfume on a pig" - 3,660 hits on google Thanks for the correction.
apprently just you and sean hannity. nobody else has agreed with you, even republicans. and why aren't we talking about issues? this is pathetic. only obama is talking about issues (economy, national security, education) and yet he's losing. mccain and his camp is talking about reform and change with no specific stances and yet they're leading. no wonder bush won in 2000. they could sit down and drink a beer with bush
LOL! You will see the backlash with these comments! Just you see! This is territory that Obama does not want to go to. It detracts from the issues and gives the Republicans the edge.
I really am sick of this kind of crap. Makes me sick to my stomach how ignorant some Americans are for buying this. These people who are involved with these type of ads are borderline evil by spreading these blatant lies to the public. I am so disapointed in John McCain...makes me sick. Obama's campaign just got $100 bucks from me.
I by and large agree with this but I think he was doing a little bit of name calling as well. What I don't get is you have an immensely popular VP nom. in Palin who has the victim persona going for her right now at full tilt and you go out and call her a "pig". Now how many people do you think are going to look into this fully to get the whole perspective as compared to the amount of people who are going to read it and take it at its face value. With a lot of women already annoyed with him right now especially those who are independents this probably isn't going to go over well with them no matter what explanation he gives. It might not be fair to him but that is life as it is today. Overall not very smart and tactical politics on his part right now. He could probably do this and get away with it as it pertains to McCain ,but he should probably avoid making these comments in regards to Palin for the rest of these last few months of the election. They might get a laugh from the crowd he is talking to ,but in the long run are just going to continually bite him in the butt.
the mccain camp is actually going lower than anybody right now but apparently americans don't care dude. if you're going to nitpick on that comment, which is an old political joke and i repeat EVEN HUCKABEE thought it was nothing, you probably believe everything. get over it.
I just donated $100 to Obama. Anyone else outraged by this piece of crap should do the same. https://donate.barackobama.com/page/contribute/main
"I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig," McCain on Hilary's healthcare plan. No fake outrage from RRNYC
Damn, this one blew me away! I was an Obama supporter initially, but really! This has now completely turned me off! The connection here is clear (Pig = White racist) -- am quite sick of this!! Good bye B. Hussein O.! Wish you all the best in your next community organization job!!
