Man, I was thinking providing low income people with low cost or free phone services would not be a bad idea to help them, you know, catch up to modernity and perhaps get ahead in life-- easier to hold down a job if you are easily reachable. Was gonna say Obama sure was smart to get this running... But that was just my liberal bias and past presidents already beat him to it.

 

I think using a specific instance of one Obama supporter to insult all Obama supporters is a great way to win support for Mitt Romney.

Program began in 1984. It subsidized land line phones, but from 2008-2011 the programs funding increased from roughly $750,000 to $1.6 billion. Most of that increased cost came from the shift from land lines to cell phones, which cost more. Regardless, there are both democrats and republicans trying to reform this program.

 

I suggested the same thing in another thread and got blasted. I mean, why would you be required to show a basic understanding of what you are voting for to vote? That makes too much sense.

At least being able to name the Prez, VP, what each executive branch handles...

Hilarious how the right wing has jumped on this, especially the local "news" show on 740 claiming credit for starting the coverage. And completely ignoring that it isn't a program started by Obama. Or the very real story about actual voter fraud cases in FL that involved the GOP.

But his video helps take their minds about the spiraling presidential hopes of Mitt-tanic and hey, it's a black woman saying Obama, so it really appeals to their inner demons...
