well, I have to agree with you here. Maybe he hasn't done a very good job, after all. but he did inherit all his problems from GEORGE W BUSH!!!!!!!!!111eleven (these problems still exist to this day and likely will exist until eternity all because of GWB)
Oh really? You do realize it was Barney Frank and Chris Dodd who caused the economic drought, right? Ever heard of the Dodd-Frank Bill? Bush tried to REPEAL that, but was told by DEMOCRATS that it would work. Look where it lead us to. I suggest looking up info instead of letting the media tell you what to think.
So tired of this silliness. Giving Obama credit for this is like giving Clinton credit for the computer craze of the 90s is like me taking credit for the garden that was in my yard before I bought it. Funny, if you want to give credit for those: military complex for Laden, capitalism for the 90s, excellent neighborhood for my garden.
I just researched this. You're right again! I appreciate your depth and help on this. You've won me over to the right. I've concluded that Obama has indeed been a worthless failure. Time for America to TAKE OUT THE TRASH and elect Romney instead.
It's not just how Bush destroyed the economy. It's how lack of regulations caused huge problems and caused the housing crash, lack of oversight on Lehman Brothers and other Wall Street firms that blew up. Meanwhile Bush is lowering taxes, while spending like a sailor on wars. That shoots the deficit up. Then in order to cut the deficit programs which feed into the economy get cut back, and so that's less money going into the economy as well. Dodd/Frank had very little to do with it.
Uh...if I recall correctly, Dodd-Frank was proposed in June/July 2009 and passed in 2010. How did the former President Bush try to repeal it? How did it cause the economic drought when the economy (or at least various stock/commodities indices) bottomed out somewhere around March 2009?
Consider this your message. Change the sig, anything that is political in nature is not allowed in sigs. That is a long standing rule here.
Still waiting on your enlightening explanation of how Bush wasn't able to repeal Dodd-Frank, thereby causing the current economic mess even though... 1. The economic crisis started in 2007. 2. Dodd-Frank was passed in 2010. 3. Bush was no longer in the White House. Was there a time machine involved? Awesome...
Those things under people's moniker? You should pay attention to them. Here's a hint, if it says Clutch Crew, you should probably heed what they say. And it's you're, not your.
I will take anyone, point-by-point, to task for even beginning to cite that Dodd-Frank is part of the problem. We'll start with the frozen repo markets, and end up somewhere along the lines of broken credit-default swaps. Nobody should even begin to bring that s*** up. It discredits you completely in matters of finance or economics.
Bush attempted to repeal Dodd-Frank. However, the dems controlled the senate and house. They were set on the Dodd-Frank bill and its supposed success. Which clearly didn't happen because that bill alone forced foreclosures.
