I don't think Obama or Democrats want skin color to be the sole criteria for voting for someone either. Luckily there is zero evidence to show that Obama or Democrats have advocated that. I know that you don't look at just skin color, because of your previous passionate support for Michael Steele, who obviously represents a competency and grasp of politics that really speaks to you.
