It's like debating a child. If Obama talks, he should have been quiet. If he's quiet, then he should have said something. You can't win the discussion. When the baby is gonna whine no matter what you do or say, just let it whine until it gets tired. In this case, it will never get tired. Some people are born to complain. What a life!
His actions were announcing his team and his plans. In case you didn't notice on Friday, the minute word leaked about his SecTreas, the market shot up 5% in a period of about 2 hours. Overall, the market dislikes uncertainty, and getting a sense of the Obama team has provided some temporary relief and reason to rally for the market. Is going to last? Absolutely not. But its certainly true that the minute he started making daily announcements about his team and his agenda, the market began rallying.
You do realize that the market often reacts in anticipation of what might happen in the future. So yes Obama has no power but the market is looking to what might happen once he takes office.
At least TJ seems to humor himself with his little persona. Basso just seems miserable and rather pathetic. It would be sad, if this weren't the internets.
