Uh earth to Matilda, I'm not so sure you did cuz you were all 'well I'm sure he's heard of styling gel' like you *didn’t* know it was a joke!
This is the state of wingnut humor. Not funny, but at the same time ignorant and racist and designed to make themselves feel much smarter than the average American... the latter fuels their fantasy that only they understand the true meaning of America. No wonder that the ads that support talk radio are all about baldness and erectile dysfunction and making a killing on heating oil futures. These people are vain, ignorant, and egotistical for no good reason except they allowed a group of politicians and power-hungry authoritarians took advantage of their emotional and psychological handicaps.
For decades Repubs have been using HUD as a code word for lazy, shiftless black people. Pairing that with Obama in such a heavy-handed way also leads people like you to conjure up the image of Obama as a lazy, shiftless black guy. But then again, you knew that and it's probably one of the things that made it funny to you.
of course you don't, you align your self with them because of your war fantasies while ignoring, the race, sexuality, and religion baiting except in this election when you freely joined in blaming the current economic crisis on minorities
Granted this is a joke but the thing I don't get about this piece is what part of Obama's platform does Bill Clinton disagree with? Increasing access to health care? Allowing federal funding of stem cell research? Overall Obama and the Clintons pretty much agree on almost everything and the differences in are in the details. It seems like the joke would be better if Clinton said " I pledge to do whatever I can to serve this historic by doing everythign President Obama said he was going to do but doing it TEN TIMES better."
You miss the point. This is not so much a joke that is meant to be funny ha-ha, but a fantasy of wingnuts who are so uncreative that they have to rip off an old piece from The Onion.
This is the silliness. Obama didn't say i'm going to bring in a bunch of new people, he didn't say he was a liberal, he said he wanted to change the way Washington operates. People will read into that what they will, but there are clear details. he's going to try to stop the bickering, he's not going to govern on ideology, he's going to hire qualified people (like clinton did but unlike the current chief) this is classic strawman, see you guys got somebody we've actually heard of before, where's your change, bwaaaaaaahhhhhhhhaaaaa its nothing but bitterness
^Given the number of former BuSh 41 staffers on Dubyas team, one wouldve thought more of the same in 2000... Oh wait!! Presidents CAN be different!
It's amazing that after basically a year-long campaign, you are just as uneducated as you were at the beginning. If you don't understand what Obama is referring to by change, you should spend a tiny fraction of the time you waste regurgitating nonsense here and actually try to use it to educate yourself.
