Not surprised his approval ratings have gone down.

That is the usual trend for presidents. Can't please everybody.

    for your education.

the DOW is a leading economic indicator. Since Mr. O toke office, the DOW has risen ~1,000 point, or 12.5% in 6 months.

W inherited a DOW 12,000 when he toke office; his ineptness paved the way to a DOW sub-8,000.

Obama has done more in 6 months then Bush did in his 8 years - most of it spent on vacation.

It's relevant because if you are going to criticize obama, you have to look at a bench mark which was Bush. Bush spent his first year on vacation, until 9/11 made him actually have to lift a finger.

Obama has held to deal with global warming, saving the auto-companies, passing a stimulas package, ramping up his staff, picking a supreme court nominee, and trying to fix the health care crisis.

and he's accomplished nothing? i just hate this right-wing nut spewage constantly coming from uninformed diehard wacko conservatives.

Dealing with global warming? Really? He fixed it? I must have missed that.

Saving the auto companies? You mean the same ones that filed a bastardized Chapter 11 anyway and now the government owns 61% of the companies? Whew. Glad he took care of that efficiently.

Trying to fix health care? You mean by saying to pass something by August and Congress (including a number of Dems) ignoring him? He hasn't fixed anything on that front yet.

All of this while increasing the deficit spending. Yep. He has done so much. He has purchased a controlling interest in an entire industry, ramped up the spending, and placed meaningless deadlines on Congress.

At least he did pick a good jurist for the Supreme Court. He did a good job on that one.

If you actually bother to look at her judicial record (over 500 written opinions), she is very much down the middle.

If all you do is recite the partisan rhetoric and crap, then it isn't as clear a picture.

Please recall that the first President to appoint her to a Federal bench was George H.W. Bush.

The sad thing is that the opposition to her has a lot more to do with who appointed her rather than her judicial record.

He's taking more action than previous presidents. He's worked on middle east peace - geez, why does everyone say if Obama doesn't fix global warming, find a lasting middle east peace, and turn the economy around all in 180 days he's failed miserably?

Had he let GM fail, not only would that led to the collapse of many other associated businesses. Not a good thing to do during a recession.

the whole reason both the House and Senate have come up with a plan is because of Obama. why haven't they addressed this for the past 8 years?

All this when he inherited the worst fiscal mess since the great depression. FDR had to spend us out of that mess, and that's what you do in bad times, increase spending. problem is that you man, mister GW, squandered away surpluses during the good years.

It's not worth your breath. The day that when Obama is interviewed and the D is replaced to an R is the day those who "disapprove" will approve. This is classic partisan politics. Thank you Mr. Reagan.

BS. Anytime anyone here says anything about obama, you instantly throw Bush under the bus as some sort of crutch, as if that changes the fact that obama is/isn't doing what he's supposed to or not supposed to.

    it's childish. it's ineffective and it's weak.

You have obviously not paid attention to my posts over the last few years. I am critical of both Republicans and Democrats.

As for the car industry, I supported a bailout of the industry. It does, however, make me nervous when the government owns a majority stake in two major corporations. The real possibility for a conflict of interest arises.

Don't limit it to 8 years, Clinton and previous presidents failed at this as well.
