Horrible news, Israel and the US are the biggest threat to our world along with the enemies they created in the Middle-East and Africa.
250,000 a year is not 'rich' .... not poor but not 'rich' But hey . . . . believe what you want to believe Rocket River
I'm fine supporting Israel within the Green Line, I'm only disagreeing with the colonization of the West Bank because it is unnecessarily provocative, a FU to the Palestinians. They do it under the protest of the United States. We should use this carrot to get them to stop.
That's really, really hurting Hassan Nasrallah's feelings. Hizbollah is probably the only serious military threat on Israel's border, and they aren't Sunni.
$250,000 a year is enough to put you in the top 4% That's beside the point, the majority of the tax burden are not shouldered by the poor.
It's alot riskier for the North Korean situation though. North Korea have 13,000 artillery positioned at the border and a large # of them have enough range to strike Seoul. Bomb one of fatty Kim's reactors you can practically guarantee retaliatory artillery strikes against Seoul. Iraq back in the day did not have this capability, Israel knew it could bomb Saddam's reactors with no real risk of retaliation (Saddam only had some wildly inaccurate, poorly constructed Scud clones).
Russia feeds Iran , USA does the same to Israel, Sunnis are squeezed in between, if they want to be armed , they pay premium price for it . Hassan used the Palestinian's struggle to promote him self when it was convenient which glorified him at one point to rally people behind him when it was needed, but now, he repeatedly stated publicly that he does not think of Israel as an enemy anymore. but that wont stop Israel to use him among others to push for additional supports. Syrian crises exposed everything was previsoly masked
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu accused the critics of the $38bn US aid package granted Israel for the next decade of ingratitude towards the United States when he opened the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday. “I hear all sorts of background noises and disinformation,” he said, “and I wish to emphasize that we were never offered a dollar more. These are distortions and fabrications put out by interested parties. The saddest thing is that they broadcast an ungrateful attitude towards the United State"
Hizbollah are way better trained and way better equipped than anyone else on Israel's border, and they can claim they actually forced Israel out of south Lebanon. The last time anyone else presented a credible threat to Israel's military, Richard Nixon was the president.
I'd love to hear your thoughts - discussion for a different thread someday (i.e. not football Sunday at midnight) - on what you think potential future US/Iran relations could look like.
