    really?

    that is as assuring as
    • Sarah Palin saying "as a foreign policy expert, I...." or
    • McCain saying " as a public servant of intgrity, I assure you that my good deeds in the Charles Keatings investigation (frauds committed against Lincoln Savings & Loan)went unnoticed. Never mind that my peers in the US Senate had publically censured me for mis-conduct.

Leadership, T_J style: steal opponent's idea, tell lies about suspending campaign, try to back out of debate, make rash statements about rushing to DC, stay in New York, lose sleep because your "maverick" VP pick couldn't debate Ms. South Carolina on a white russian bender, waking up, making several news appearances, furthering lies, ... FAIL, flying to Washington, submarining a significant compromise for political points. and FAIL.

Oh, and I forgot to mention emphasize an early 19th century notion that it is crucial to ride a horse into the nation's capital because the telegraph isn't widely available.

It's okay, Jorge, we know this week has been rough on you. :(

    This is T_J...

...in the eyes of many, anyway.

Y'all don't want debate.. of course, T_J doesn't either because he starts threads with goofiness, but totally avoids the threads on the same topics he's already been called out on.

T_J, why do that? Just 'cause you started the thread doesn't mean you win the "debate."

You're not helping the GOP cause much at all here. Read the "debate like a gentlemen" thread again.

    PLEASE

Then again, if you're really just going for laughs, etc.

    MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

IROC, your intentions are good, but you need to think a step deeper. When the democrats devolve into insults and posting cat picture silliness, it is because they are unable to meaningfully address the facts of the right. This is the case here. I am convinced that Obama is trying to "skate by" and coast into the general election trying desperately not to screw up and expose his lack of substance to his "hopey-makey-change" dreamers. He's playing "prevent defense". When you get down to it, the man has never led a damn thing in his life. But he does read a canned speech pretty well.

If you can ever conceed anything at all, that perhaps you are not right about everything and that liberals are capable-functioning members of society, then maybe people will stop posting cat pictures.

Until then, there is no point in "debating" you. Cat pictures are just as effective.

Well here is the update for you this morning. Nancy Pelosi doesn't have the balls (duh) to get this deal passed. The Democrats have the votes, and the support of the President, but she won't instruct her crowd to pass the bill until the House Republicans support it -- because she doesn't want to be accountable. There you have it folks, the libs are too frightened of the political ramifications of passing this bill. They can't do ANYTHING without cover from the Republicans. Nothing. They have no balls. Where is Obama in all of this? Well, right where he belongs as a junior senator and back bencher -- blending into the background. Leading? Being an agent of change? Hardly. He's marginalized. Probably applying make-up getting ready for tonight's teleprompters and cameras.

Leaders still their neck out, take a risk, and accept the results. Puss!es like these libs in Congress wait for the other guy to act and hide. McCain stuck his neck out on the surge. McCain dropped everything to work on this bill. He isn't afraid of what people might say -- he's afraid of what happens if we end up with a bad outcome for our NATION. That's the difference here, folks.
