No, it becomes a lawsuit and sexual harassment charges if they "flaunt" things in front of their peers. There are existing laws that deal with sexual harassment and if anyone were "flaunt[ing]" their sexuality, those laws would deal with the problem no matter the sexual orientation of any of the parties. The law is clear that sexual behavior that makes people uncomfortable is unacceptable. I'm sorry that you cannot see it, but this is a matter of equality, not a 'guise of "equality."' We have lost and will continue to lose valuable people who are willing to put their lives on the line for our country and they are being discharged because of bigotry.
The Israeli military has allowed homosexuals to serve openly for decades and I don't think it has hurt their military discipline or readiness. As far as the fear of someone flaunting their homosexuality in the military any issues with flaunting one sexuality can already be addressed under the military code of justice.
