One thing that nobody is asking (and basso is assuming) is whether the governor of Kentucky ASKED for federal assistance. As people defending Bush after Katrina (myself included) noted at the time, the state has to ask for assistance before FEMA can get involved.

If they have asked, then FEMA needs to get in there as soon as practicable. If not, then the only way you can bash the feds is to condemn Bush along with it.

Can I declare this thread stupid? Could I have done so after first four posts and the first one disproving all of that riffraff?

because if you are, stop beating around the bush and come out with it.

I don't know why basso uses these talking points, I guess he doesn't have a problem playing the same card as the racist wingnuts. they are really going to drive home the point that Obama only cares about blacks the next few years, you can already see it setting up for that.

Obamabot tactic #1: When in danger, dodge the issue while accusing your adversary of racism.

    Yawn...

Hopefully Obama can address this crisis using his 'angry, forceful speech voice'. You know, the one where he sounds all righteous and whatnot. He has clearly been coached up on that voice by his handlers.

Which aryan site that ran with that headline do you believe isn't racist?

The issue has already been addressed, and shown to be completely bogus.

who called who a racist? we already addressed your post with actual numbers and then you didn't respond.

as far as the tactic is concerned, is it okay if we call actual racists with white sumpremcey web sites,"racist?

What's the psychological term for this again? Oh yes, here it is...

You guys spent so long trying to convince us and yourselves that W. was Churchill that you can't accept the fact that he was the quintessential definition of a puppet. Now, the only release you have from that tortured part of your mind that you dare not confront is to accuse Obama of being the same thing W. always was.

    Sad really.

Not to mention the affected voice and verbal tics that W. thought sounded Texan.

Interesting, but not surprising. I'm not kidding when I keep saying it's obvious that basso (et al?) take their titles and orders from elsewhere; I also assume there is compensation per new thread, which is pathetic, but again, predictable.

The most stupid thing of this king hell stupid thread, if a peak can even be determined on the fail heap: Obama, less than two weeks in, has not had a chance to make any sort of FEMA changes. So whether you like what's happening in Kentucky or not, in terms of federal assistance, it's all properly attributed to Bush (as I believe judoka pointed out already, or someone did.) Looks like his administration made some good changes after the Katrina debacle.

Oh, and for a little levity, consider the alternative:

All that's been posted is a comment by the Democratic Governor of KY extolling Obama's responsiveness, while it's clear that the folks on the ground feel quite differently.

The president's role is to get FEMA on site, their job thereafter is the responsibility of the director. If FEMA has been a no-show, that can't be laid at the feet of George Bush.

Since he has a different viewpoint than you, you then assume he is being paid to start threads? That's immature thought on your part. Besides, 'pay to play' is the Democrats' area of expertise -- Blago, Rahmbo, Michelle Obama, Rezko, etc.

    wingnuttiness in full effect

“This is an amazing effort and we have worked long hours to move supplies and equipment. Our working partnership with FEMA ensures we are getting excellent help under difficult circumstances for Kentuckians suffering from the winter storm,” said Gen. John W. Heltzel, director of Kentucky’s Division of Emergency Management.

hayesfan, is not a person on the ground? She's must be a member of the Democratic governor's staff?

Or is the LOCAL KY news station not "on the ground" enough for you.

I don't know if I can add two tally marks to the basso egg on the face count from the same thread, but I'm going to do it anyone.

basso's tally now stands at 2.
