I'm eager to hear basso's thoughts on this. He is our resident expert on the matter. And texxx... When did you flip flop on gay oral? I know a guy who swears you love weiners. And he's willing to take a (gasp) polygraph!!! Prove it never happened or you're clearly lying.
LOL Batman, hope you enjoying the beers last night! The Batman drunk post is truly a legendary experience on the bbs.
Why is that? Clinton is far more centrist than Obama. Obama talks like a centrist, but votes like a Berkeley liberal.
I doubt you remeber some of the people ripping biden 20 years ago. really why don't you enlighten us who those same people were. I'm sure that some were even posting on the bbs
The Clinton campaign continues to shed light on the story: Clinton Campaign: A "Pattern" of Obama Borrowing [Byron York] Top Clinton campaign officials Mark Penn and Howard Wolfson are holding another conference call with reporters now. Wolfson is pointing to a "pattern" of alleged plagiarism by Barack Obama, suggesting that reporters look at a blog entry by ABC's Jake Tapper which suggests another example of Obama lifting material from Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. In that blog entry, Tapper points to a statement from Obama quoted in USA Today in 2007: "I am not asking anyone to take a chance on me. I am asking you to take a chance on your own aspirations." Tapper then quotes Patrick, speaking to the 2006 Massachusetts Democratic convention, saying, "I am not asking anybody to take a chance on me. I am asking you to take a chance on your own aspirations." "We are seeing a pattern here," Wolfson told reporters a short time ago. "And here is another example of where the words match exactly."
it's just so odd because usually the right wing is vehemently anti-clinton. I mean, who knew that the venom could actually be even more intense!
Wow, Hussein Ubama is even less impressive than I thought. I used to think he was a good speaker, but now it seems he's just lifting others' work. Oh well at least he still has a deep voice and can tilt his head back nicely when he speaks.
Obama pretty much has transfered the 2006 Deval campaign into his 2008 presidential campaign. The similarities are beyond just copied speeches. Chances are he will be no better on the job than Deval.
i think you guys (including deepblue, trader jorge) need to up your game here a bit. Online, people seem pretty educated and know how to use google. Problem with the smeer Obama tac (plagarism, drugs, blow-jobs, making fun of his name and all) - is that it's too obvious of an attempt to make him look bad. It's like when liberals bash Bush because of the way he pronounces nuclear - which doesn't mean he's stupid, just a red neck. when you take this kind of line, you may aggravate the liberals, and that's kinda humorous to a degree - but it also kind of makes the folks in the middle just label you guys as attack dogs so the legitimate criticisms of obama just get viewed upon with suspicion and makes the liberal's counter-argument more powerful. so my friendly advice is to find something about the guy's policies or relationships that might indicate he won't do a great job as president. like a history of incompetence or mismangement if there is one. Because when you go to this level, folks like me thing ya got nothing else to stand on and thus you have to grasp for staws. is that the case? Then again, this is a lot more entertaining to read.
Oh and Michelle Obama: "For the first time in my adult life time, I'm proud of my country" <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yjqo9WBwBrE&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yjqo9WBwBrE&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Obama is not the pioneer of change, especially in this election. Everyone was already going to distance themselves from W.
I would recommend that you first learn how to spell. Then you should address me. Heartfelt thanks in advance (HTIA). I've documented why I think Hussein Ubama is a horrible choice for president. His frequent foreign policy gaffes (invading Pakistan, stopping all Chinese toy imports), his lack of experience, his lack of details on his policies, and his r****ded economic policy are my main issues with the guy. He does deliver a great speech (although it's likely somebody else's words!)
Oops! Obama's already on record as admitting he borrows lines from Patrick (and vice versa). Stumping in New Hampshire last December, Obama said: http://blogs.tnr.com/tnr/blogs/the_plank/archive/2008/02/18/obama-s-quot-plagiarism-quot.aspx Once again it looks like TJs little rant is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" [edit] I didn't make that up myself
first of all one person came in with the difference between biden, and secondly, its a legit difference. biden plagerized a whole speech from a guy he didn't know. the analogy is far fetched, and the comparison of what people did twenty years ago when you were eight is also
So what is next? Should ppl immediately embrace the possibility of the co-presidency of Obama and Patrick? Or, better yet, they just vote Deval Patrick for president?
