Did he credit Patrick during his Wisconsin speech? No he did not. Not only that, but he came out and said he should have credited him. How are you arguing with Obama's own statement?

nice try, and yes having permission to use the words have everything to do with it. Speechwriters are used in speeches without credit being given all the time.
