I know - it is terrible isn't it? Having a candidate that will literally say anything that is convenient in that moment. It is really shitty and difficult to deal with - now just imagine that candidate then denying they ever said it, and blaming the media for making it up.

He doesn't give a **** about the backlash - he is Barrack Obama, guy is literally a worldwide icon. He can say what Kamala Harris cannot and won't say this close to an election........ what he said is true as well, there is an undercurrent of misogyny - and while he was in that instance talk to black men, he made it clear it is a problem for all men.... and actually some women as well.

Who better to comment on breaking ceilings than the first black President? Really the only risk is that Obama is so impressive, that he could potentially make Harris not look as impressive.

He's definitely not worried for himself. But, if his aim was to be an effective advocate for Harris, he might have fallen short. But polling will probably measure it.

Men in general are incredibly sensitive because we are not held as socially responsible as women are - we live in a patriarchy and our word isn't as questioned as those of women, the elderly and children..... couple that with many men being complete ill equipped socially for how to have a relationship with women - and it is all a very sensitive topic for many men. Women have more autonomy now than in recent history - women have choices that their mothers did not have - be it social media that is made for women, school and employment - friend groups and even having children. Women can now live completely full lives without having any substantive relationships or dealings with men...... but we have still raised our boys like women NEED men socially like they did even a decade ago. So men are not stepping up to the plate, women are demanding more from men and many men cannot deliver because they don't know how or do not feel they need to - so you have a lot of lonely or angry men that they don't have a GF or wife to **** when they want, to cook for them and to make all the plans.

I don't know about your family but the Irish were pretty welcoming to me. Then again I might be more Irish than your family. ;):p

It is an interesting question. I guess I would approach it like this. Obama’s target audience is comprised of (1) men who are currently thinking they will sit it out or vote for Trump, or (2) men who are undecided.

As for group 1, they’re already currently pro Trump or anti Harris. Will the statement that they might have some form of misogyny turn them off further? I think not. Could it cause some of them to self reflect … after all, it’s freaking Obama saying this, maybe I should give it a moment to consider? I would say it’s unlikely to sway most of them, but if they were going be reached, well here we go, a direct statement “man to man” from Obama.

As for group 2, undecided men, I guess it could cut both ways. I think on balance, it would be more helpful than hurtful because these folks were undecided. These people are on the fence this late into the game. It suggests that they are either indecisive and/or introspective/somewhat willing to consider other viewpoints.

Imagine if you always want to chop off little kids nuts and praise Islamic terrorists

it’s pretty simple, the Muslims don’t like the economy and they don’t want their kids to turn into transgenders and go woke

Islam and woke will never be compatible

No, they just want Trump to implement another Ban on Muslims entering the country. Which he will do again.
