Obama bugged Trump Tower before election

I'm OK with government spying if there's an appropriate level of evidence that someone has been compromised by a foreign country which can therefore pose a national security threat. We don't yet have enough information to determine whether that evidence was sufficient, so I can only withhold judgment at this stage until more facts are in.

 

And yet no charges of any kind... Which in of itself should be BREAKING NEWS these days because the left keeps going on and on about these damn Russians.

I love how the left trips over themselves to credit Obama with anything good but anything, hey he didn't have anything to do that. I'm so sick of it. Again, thank you Trump for exposing D.C. and the media for what they really are. Please continue destroying D.C. piece by piece so that evil, rotting, culture can die and be replaced anew.

 

First of all - Were you a Republican during the Bush presidency? If so you can't throw stones because everything your house is made up is brittle glass. Bush actually got caught illegally tapping the phones of Americans.

Since 9/11 wire tapping has been something we can just assume that Presidents do all the time, and SOMETIMES might do it illegally. You want to cut the Partisan crap.... lets do that please.

Second of all- I and likely no liberal here, would be okay with Obama (or in this case the CIA/FBI/NSA) ILLEGALLY wire tapping or spying on then candidate Trump WITH NO PROBABLE CAUSE AND NO FISA WARRANT. However if it was ILLEGAL, there is no evidence you or Trump has at this point to back up those claims.

What you and Levin, etc. are referring to in order to back up your claims about Obama is using a LEGAL reference and saying that it was ILLEGAL. The Heat Street or whatever report the Right is referring to, would indicate PROBABLE CAUSE.... which in the end isn't good for Trump to be talking about because it makes him look pretty damn guilty, and indicates Obama and the Intelligence agencies didn't break the law when they went to the federal court to get a FISA warrant.

Do you see where this is going here man? Without evidence of ILLEGAL wire tapping, the Right is making their own guy look guilty. This has very little to do with Obama's "Spying Culture". Who cares if he and the intelligence agencies where spying heavily as long as they were doing it with probable cause to keep America safer. Hell I don't really even blame George W that much if he was spying with the greater good in mind and if he thought it could have prevented another major terrorist attack.

You realize the FBI has been investigating since October right? Why don't you wait until the investigation concludes (and push for an independent bi-partisan Congressional investigation) until you say there are "NO CHARGES". Having an Independent investigation only makes your guy come out cleaner assuming, as you believe obviously, he did nothing wrong.

Yeah he also is responsible for thousands of innocent civilian deaths too. Bombed Hospitals, Killing Journalists who question him, Annexing Crimea, Invading Ukraine, etc... What a hero. I could actually be a Republican giving you political advice right now actually for all you know. Forget what I think about Obama. Sticking up for Trumps fact-less allegation only HURTS him politically. Breathing more life into the Russian ties only hurts him and his Presidency.

You don't want to be friends with someone who thinks differently than you politically than I feel sorry for you. You're right, it could not look good for Trump if the FBI initiated this.

 

Questions that remain unanswered as far as I'm aware:

Did Obama direct or authorize the FISA request?

What evidence was presented for obtaining approval for surveillance?

Who was the target of the wiretapping?

Was there any intention to release the information for swaying the election?


It seems like there is lack of agreement on what the probable answers to those questions are. The so called "smoking gun" case put together by that radio host doesn't answer the above questions.
