LOL the more and more we find out about Obama, the more his shine wears off.

While violence is certainly down in Iraq (this has nothing to do with the surge but rather Sadr’s militia calling a cease fire, ethnic cleansing of neighborhoods and millions of Iraqis fleeing their country) no one can credibly say that we are winning in Iraq. The surge has failed in its intended purpose and we are now holding the lid down on a potential civil war that will more than likely become a regional conflict that will destabilize the Middle East for years to come.

This is fact that John McCain fails to acknowledge.

Let's just assume your false premise is in fact true for a moment -- suspend disbelief if you will. So is the solution to pull out and open up the lid, thereby producing a civil war? That's what Obama is proposing to do. It's typical of his naivete. He is just in over his head.

Of course not (despite the claims of the generals on the ground).

So Obama is not wanting to pull out of Iraq? That's funny. Let me guess, you are attracted to Obama because he's just so darn articulate and knows a lot of celebrities like OPRAH ! Time to piss out the kool-aid that you drank.

Even if the article you posted would go to prove your point, these are comments made 5 years ago. I was in favor of ousting Saddam five years ago. Today I feel like this war has been horribly bungled.

My point is that opinions change over the course of five years. Something he said five years ago is of limited relevance today...unless it was something that indicated his true prejudices, biases, etc.
