DOMA is definitely unconstitutional. It completely contradicts the constitution. It should have never passed and it should have been defeated years ago. But the politicians and court systems don't give a **** about the constitution anymore. They have been pissing all over the constitution for years (both Republicans and Democrats). This particular "law" is proof of just that (along with other bs laws. The worst part about this law is the fact that it has been passed to oppress a minority group. The constitution clearly states that to change it, it must be amended but these crooks know how difficult and inconvenient the process is so they decide to just **** it).

I am glad Obama is doing this. This is for freedom, justice and the constitution.

I'm not too happy about it. Even if the law is discriminatory and unconstitutional, it was passed by Congress and deserves to have its day in court with a proper defense. Obama should be doing it, ideally, even if he doesn't like it. But scaring away lawyers just trying to do their jobs though just isn't right. I'm glad there's still someone willing to make the argument in court regardless of the financial blowback.

Marriage licensing is Jim Crow Law legacy. Separate marriage and state.

What is the argument against gay marriage?

To preserve the "sanctity of marriage?"

Why do Newt Gingrich and his supports oppose gay marriage exactly?

Some things just make zero sense to me.

Gay marriages create jobs. Tons of disposable income thrown at middle class professions like caterers, florists, djs, cake makers, stylists and jewelers.

    Republicans hate the middle class.
