Question: Do any of you get worn out from getting programmed by your various handlers to be outraged every single day, 24/7 no matter what?

What ever happened to 'don't worry be happy,' bobmarley?

Your posts just keep getting worse and worse, which I would have guessed was impossible to do two months ago. The bottom is apparently nowhere in sight.

You don't think a black person with a Muslim name and a weird background who ended up President of the United States might believe that God has a plan of some sort and things aren't just random chance?

As far as I'm concerned, it IS fair to bring up Bush during any discussion about the economy and the relationship among Muslims and other religions in the U.S.

Every president following Obama will have to continue to TRY to heal the wounds of Bush's economic, social and ethical failures. 50 years from now, we'll all be able to look back and find one of the main origins of this crap.

Bush is and will always be the face of a political "leader' who led America down a path of economic self-destruction. Afterwards, he sure didn't help alleviate intolerance of religion and race, either. Of course you can't blame Bush for everything (like the attacks/natural disaster), but it's blatantly obvious that during his presidency, America did not progress in its attempt to accept religious diversity and we did not recognize the existence of racism related to 9/11, Katrina, etc. Bush did not seem to consider how detrimental his passiveness, in regard to the sociological, racial and religious factors, would play after everything happened. Ignorance? I don't know? Incompetence? Likely.

Bush did not cause these events, but his decision-making in the aftermath of each can be credited to the continual alienation of muslims, Islam as a whole, the Rich versus Poor issue, and now, the Middle Class inferiority complex (with the assistance of Romney), and overall, a country that is so divided on social issues that we CANNOT compromise. It's sad to me. Really.

No matter how small the effort put forth to find some sort of common ground in relation to religious tolerance, faith and economic progress, Barack will not be able to make ground because of those select few on the right that will NOT compromise, simply because of the president's name and WHO HE IS.

The majority of Americans, and I'd wager, politicians, are ready to make that step into being a bit more moderate, but the most powerful on the right will exert their efforts to destroy communication about the "issues." As that happens, America rots because our ability to share and find a sense of peace is below the capacity of Kindergarteners.

EVERY president, democrat or republican, is going to spend his or her years cleaning up the economic and social mess that George failed to even begin trying to fix.

This thread should be about good intentions and empathy/sympathy and connections to Barack, but it's really about the social mess that escalated after "you-know-who."

Sooner or later, we're all going to have to meet half way about religion, faith, racial tolerance, sexuality, etc...

I find it pointless to argue about a hypothetical but it's a key MO for ya'll right now.

The biggy is "...if a white person had done this, you'd be calling us a racist".

Righties constantly use the hypothetical so ya'll can "prove" that it's really the lefties that are racist ...when in fact nobody even brought it up.

Same goes here. Nobody was even talking about religion. You brought it up.

It's the equivalent of randomly spitting on someone and then you sue them when they punch you in the face.
