http://news.q4music.com/2007/02/thom_yorke_vs_noel_gallagher_f.html "Thom Yorke sat a piano singing, 'This is ****ed up' for half-an-hour. We all know that, Mr Yorke. Who wants to sing the news? No matter how much you sit there twiddling, going, 'We're all doomed,' at the end of the day people will always want to hear you play Creep. Get over it."
Hahaha... This was quick. Forgot to list my vote. Radiohead; their ratio of songs I like to songs I don't is a fair amount higher than Oasis's.
I like the acoustics of Oasis, and Noel can write about the most care-free stuff...so I'll go with them
My most memorable love making episode was scored to the entire Kid-A album. Can't say the same for Oasis. Echo and the Bunneymen > Jesus & Mary Chain
I was just trying to say I'd listen to the band with less depth without losing my aura of pretentiousness.
I've been to both concerts. Guess which had the livelier crowd? Guess which band didn't screw the fans over? hint: they didn't play Creep Guess which band rocked the hell out of the place?? "Before that, it was dismal—there were a couple places that nobody wanted to play at. Then I saw Oasis play at The Joint when I was about seventeen and my life was changed." —The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers tells HRH Magazine Which band didn't snub ACL? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FSfYfk_d8AQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FSfYfk_d8AQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
preach on tinman, preach on.... Oasis is freaking awesome sadly I've seen Radiohead in concert back in 2000 (free tickets from work), and yes they didn't play Creep and I still haven't seen Oasis live, but vow to see them live the day they play again here in Houston which one did u like? wouldnt be surprise the one u like is one that isn't good
Radiohead's song on the grammys was crap. can't compare to: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/l61WF7KFhBo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/l61WF7KFhBo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Radiohead gets the nod because they are a bit deeper -- Oasis has some great songs, but some are too geared for the pop market. It is very close though.
its the same reason they would diss a black artist who wants to meet them or a teenage girl who wants to meet them. They are Aholes. Axl is an Ahole, but at least we get Sweet Child of Mine when he's in concert. http://www.nme.com/news/kanye-west/42583 Kanye West: 'New Oasis video breaks my heart' He's a fan of the video for 'Falling Down' * Feb 6, 2009 * 5 Comments * Kanye West news, reviews, video and tour dates * Add Kanye West to MyNME Kanye West has blogged about Oasis' video for new single 'Falling Down'. The rapper posted a link to the video, which you can watch below, on his official blog under the title "Sometimes I see videos and it breaks my heart that there are so few outlets for vids these days..." The video mocks the British monarchy, and features a member of the royal family indulging in drug binges and one-night stands. Director Wiz told NME.COM that the lead actress in the video is playing the role of "a contemporary Princess Margaret - a sister of William and Harry maybe". West's endorsement of the video drew a number of blog comments from fans, mostly positive.
