NL franchises are more valuable than AL ones because of the payroll savings of no DH. Truth.

To be fair, the entire NBA is a dumpster fire.

I don't think so. Though a NL team could probably survive on a low payroll easier than an AL Team.

Oh the A’s president said they are coming every two weeks to Vegas
    @Hank McDowell
Maybe he’s just there to party with Tiesto
Because we all know the A’s are going to San Antonio

You have invested a LOT in their moving to Las Vegas, They might. But you miss the point of why they would keep their options open and public while negotiating the terms for a deal. Hey! The may be bad negotiators? It happens.

But I did hear at the very end, "We're doing everything we can to make sure we have OPTIONS." So perhaps I'm not as out of touch as you suppose.

Getting the stadium built in Vegas is realistically the only potential holdup. I’m not absolutely certain that will get done, and, of course, that means everything. If this was a few years ago before the Allegiant/Raiders deal I would have said it was a sure thing, but it will be a little trickier now. The A’s will look at every opportunity, and I think they would prefer to stay in Oakland if possible, but there is no doubt Vegas is their next preferred choice.

The A's have explicitly stated that it is MLB telling them to consider Oakland and Vegas. Quoted from the ESPN story:

We're focused on the two parallel paths -- Oakland and southern Nevada," Kaval said. "That's by the direction of the league, and that will remain our focus until they give us additional direction."

After looking the valutions, it appears you are right. It seems somewhat counterintuitive when the most valuable franchise by far is the NYY and Boston is 3 being AL along with the least valuable being a NL franchise (Miami.) But the middle valued franchised lean heavily toward the NL as more valuable and make the average NL franchise slightly more valuable than the average AL Franchise.

These are based on March 2021 Forbes calculations.

Need to be moving things out of that area (Vegas) instead of moving them in.

That entire region will start running out of water within 20 years, unless human practices somehow change.

It's already happening up and down the Colorado/Rio Grande/etc Rivers. Get ready.

Using electrical charges discharged from the drones, UAE scientists created large water droplets that resulted in the formation of large clouds and then welcome rain.

Faced with the increasing frequency of heatwaves and diminishing water sources, scientists in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have taken matters into their own hands. They have managed to create torrential downpours using a fleet of drones........

    Rain on Demand?

If successful, this technology presents a way for numerous water scarce areas to essentially create rain on demand. New cloud seeding technology can potentially reduce water scarcity in numerous areas that do not receive adequate rainfall, preventing drought conditions and saving thousands of lives in the process.

The technology can also be used to create rain that would then replenish underground aquifers, lakes, rivers and other freshwater sources. Besides UAE, countries like India and China are already experimenting with other cloud seeding technologies for arid regions to prevent large scale droughts.

The difference here is Las Vegas has players that can make a deal work. The A’s ownership have already discussed land options with the Fertittas (yes, Tillman’s cousins) for a plot they own across from Aria. And they’ve also had discussions with Phil Ruffin, who owns the Vegas Fairgrounds site on north end of the strip. The A’s have made multiple visits to the Vegas valley and haven’t visited any other market. That includes Portland, who I thought would be a contender.

I do think Nashville will make a run at a team, but it will probably be the Rays or expansion. The A’s are likely Vegas bound.

Interesting. And I wonder what long-term unforeseen consequences there may be, if any.

Seriously though, logic would dictate that removing moisture from one area by artificial means could cause rain NOT to develop naturally in some other area.

Probably would take a very in depth and long term study to determine this effect or some other one.

Northern Africa was wet and tropical 10,000 years ago or so during the last mini ice age according to docs I've seen. Of course, most of northern Europe was covered in a polar ice cap about that time also.
