Umm. must have been a short season. Hollings practiced Wednesday and is listed as probable. Davis is still listed as questionable, but is expected to play.
Whoa that scared the hell ou of me about Hollings. I was worried I had missed a report somewhere. I think the Raiders win a close one. The Texans will be just a little too cocky after having won last week and will start the game with too little intensity.
I just saw on "Texans Inside the Huddle" that Dom Davis is out for Sunday's game. Our running game is going to suck this week. I don't have any faith in Hollings and Wells so im looking for a huge game out of Gaffney and Dre.
Great, you deal with these pessimistic texan fans in the chat room and when Hollings goes down they tell me he won't be back this year. Guess Holllings is playing on sunday. I don't really think Hollings is that great, you could have gotten the 33rd pick in this last draft if you wouldn't have taken him.
This has been discussed to death but.... look the second round pick was not thought to be that high when the decision was made. The Raiders were coming off a superbowl season and were expected to do just as well. Instead they tanked and suddenly that pick looks like gold. Also no one expected DD to contribute the way he has. Couple those factors together and suddenly Hollings looks like a blown pick. However if the Raiders had made the playoffs and DD just turned out to be a kick returner third down type back, we'd all be singing a different tune. Give Hollings a little more time and take off those hindsight glasses. Texans 30 Raiders 21
In my heart I want the Texans to come away with a victory, but I just think that the Oakland Defense will be able to put enough pressure on Carr that we are not going to win. Although I do not expect a lop sided victory, I just can't see the Texans winning this weekend. p.s. - I also picked them to lose last weekend... So I am hoping that if a ifollow my same pesimistic trend that they might pull the upset again. (Crossing-fingers)
That Really has nothing to do with it, you can make excuses all you want but I just don't think he's a good running back at all and I wouldn't have wasted a 4th rounder on him much less a 2nd.
Texans organization > moetavern's opinion Have to go with the Texans braintrust on this one. I also haven't seen Hollings enough to have such a strong stance on a subject. Maybe we can give him a couple full games as the feature back in the regular season before we say he's a bust.
Haha, you aren't related to The Cat by any chance are you? My Opinion > Everything. Casserly made a pretty stupid move with Hollings, but hey at least he did get you that top 10 pick for Drew Henson.
Also the pick was a third rounder that we traded to the Raiders for a second rounder the following year. So essentially it was a mid third round pick not this golden top of the second round choice. And that third round choice may have come from a previous trade as well someone with more time or a better memory would have to confirm this. Ultimately to me I'm glad the Texans have the sack to take a few chances. Boselli didn't work out, Hollings remains to be seen, but the Henson and the Milford Brown decisions I think were good. Point being the team takes chances and good or bad at least they're not sitting on their hands. It makes following the team fun and interesting. Isn't that the point?
Injured last week. Not playing this week. Hollings + Wells. Oh, and I picked up OAK's DEF for my fantasy team just minutes before game time. Too... much... emotional... conflict.
