I think everyone is reading WAY too much into short quotes to fit whatever they want to believe.

The reality is that BOB has been busy all season long and it's unlikely that he's really analyzed any of the QBs at the level he and the Texans will want to before making a decision. The idea that they are strongly leaning towards any particular player at this point or that his quotes are hinting at who they will pick is ludicrous.

 

I'm sure a lot of you guys on this forum are hard working family men. I'm also sure most of you said hard workers were into drinking and women in college. How would you feel if someone questioned your hard work because there's pictures of you partying in college? I'm sure even Richard Dawkins got hammered at Oxford (well maybe not)

 

Employers do look for that and it influences hiring decisions.

 

Exactly and media coverage wise, potential NFL QBs are on an entirely different stratosphere than us simpletons.

The problem is getting caught (especially with illegal actions/substances) rather than just performing them. These people should no better.

 

These people usually DO know better. You don't hear any of these stories with any of the other QB's projected to be high in the rankings of this year's draft.

 

Different story if you're going in the NFL as a top pick. A lot more scrutiny and judgement to deal with from people who spend money on the product.

Just because he likes to have fun doesn't mean he won't study the game. Johnny is a natural when it comes to football. He learned the A&M system in less than 8 months when A&M hired sumlin. Football is in his nature. Plain and simple.

While it is impossible to know who BOB wants at this time, it is possible to rule out guys that don't fit what he wants. Manziel has the highest percentage of off target throws of the QB prospects this season at nearly 15%.
