GM's may worry about Teddy's size as well as Johnny's come combine when they can get true measurements.

But isn't it strange how Bortles wasn't on anyone's radar all year and I'm not sure he was even considering coming into the draft until O'Brien got the Texans job. Is it possible O'Brien has already been talking to the kid or O'Leary...???

If the Texans keep the pick, it will be Bridgewater. The tape doesn't lie.

He started getting noticed when he made the game-winning drive against Louisville, not all of a sudden.

Blake could very well be his target but it wasn't all of a sudden that he became a top 10 prospect and the second overall rated QB in this draft class.

I really dont think that him knowing O'leary or that Borltes beat him will factor in to Obrien's decision... I remember when Pete Carroll drafted Earl Thomas from Texas and some thought he was going to draft Taylor Mays (Because he played with him).
Theres no loyalty in this game- (Obrien told a couple of recruits that he was coming back and he didnt... So all this i know this guy so i will draft him because of that,
    is overated in my opinion..

It's going to be a long wait for the draft

This. It'll be Teddy B or Manziel.

    Teddy B being the favorite.

When do the combine/ Interviews/Private workout start.. Cant wait for this>?
This will determine everything.. The measurments + the results in the combine
will factor into the decision.. Bortles might be a bigger kid, but Manziel and Bridgewater might have better combine results or vice vera Bortles might suprise and have a better combine... Cant Wait..

I meant on anyone's radar as a first round pick... And O'Brien may have noticed him before that.

I didn't say all that. And I think if O'Brien drafts him it will be because he is big, mobile, has a good arm, can play in a pro system, and he's smart.

If anything I'm speculating the kid may be entering the draft because O'Brien told him he was going to draft him...

Imagine us picking Bortles and Jax nabbing Bridgewater...lol. I don't see that happening, but all this Bortles talk is making me uncomfortable.

big Mistake- Like i said.. Bill Obrien told a couple of recruits and their moms that he was staying in Penn State and not leaving for Texans job, so i hope this kid didnt get his hopes up.. He will be a top 10 pick though..

Being big, mobile and having a strong arm doesn't matter if you cannot read defenses and have pocket presence. Know who else was big, strong and mobile? David Carr.......

The physical gifts of size and mobility are nice, but really mean nothing if you don't have the ability to read and react quickly.

Besides, Bridgewater is every bit as mobile and strong armed.

Every college coach does that... Can't single out O'Brien on that one...

I'm not debating that Bortles should be drafted... I said "IF" O'Brien wants him those could be some reasons. But what makes you think he can't read defenses...???

I think the Wunderlic will have something to say about that. I think it will influence O'Brien.

Thus far he has been "okay" reading the field, but not nearly as good as Bridgewater or Manziel. I have seen over a dozen of his games over the last 2 seasons. He has made some excellent athletic plays, but he has also left points on the field failing to see open receivers.

If the Texans trade down, then maybe they take Bortles (he is a good prospect), but he has far more question marks than Bridgewater. He has not had the tests or responsibilities that Bridgewater and Manziel have had.

Well. Maybe O'Brien puts more stock in a players talent and potential and how much he can develop a QB... Because things you speak of _ can be taught. I don't know. I'm not in the guy's head.

I'm just hoping they take a good hard long look at Jimmy Garoppolo and Tajh Boyd. Because if Bortles can move up _ so can they.

Bortles started getting serious attention when ESPN started hyping the Fiesta Bowl which was on their network.
