Exactly. Hitler built the Nazi Party, Palin's just along for the ride... she couldn't build anything. A better comparison is to von Ribbentrop.

I was speaking to her cronyism, nepatism, secrecy and extremist views in how she surrounds herself with incompetent people.

So, that makes it ok? That comment was in poor taste and let's just leave it at that...

He is pissed because his IQ is several orders of magnitude greater than Palin, however Mccain didn't pick him.

The Nazi comparison may be a dead horse by now, but I'm in DaDa's corner on it. Aversion to comparing anything to Hitler is irrational and keeps you from learning from history. (I will concede that there are those that are too distracted by the Holocaust to learn anything else from the history of Hitler, and so mentioning his name is a mere distraction. But, I don't think we should be talking at that level.)

But, I think there are several people who share this quality that Palin and Hitler share. Stalin was similar, except I'm not sure he really ever had real friends. But, he was similarly good at using relationships to get what he wanted, putting cronies in positions of power, and then stabbing them in the back when it was expedient. Bush shares the secrecy and cronyism bit, but doesn't betray his friends. I wonder if it is a personality trait that guides people toward politics.

What's funny is that Palin is really starting to remind me of an old boss. She was not great at her job and didn't do a whole heck of a lot of work, but she always looked busy and got credit for a lot of things. And, she was good at selling herself and getting promoted. Like many people, I liked her at first but grew to distrust her as I got to know her better. And, she was petty and kept up these little intra-office rivalries with the controller and the office manager and the VP of Finance. And, when I wasn't helping her anymore, she abandoned me. But, things never really worked out that great for her. She climbed the corporate ladder but ultimately was on the outside looking in. I feel like Palin is a more competent version of my old boss. Hopefully, she's just as successful.
