He is underpaid. Most any other player who had the run he did in New York would have been rewarded with a huge contract due to his "potential." You can make a case he doesn't deserve that but it doesn't change the facts.

Jeremy is pretty much spot on. He's a young player with a ton of potential. I don't get the hate on him.

No one gets a max contract off 25 games. Nor should they.

So what you are saying is, Lin is underpaid because someone should have overpaid him more than the Rockets.

I'd much rather have a young player with high ceilings and low lows than one who is steady with now highs and lows. The former has much higher upside. The stats show players who have more outlier games tend to be better than the steady players. Consistency gets better over time. Players who don't flash when young seldom achieve great heights later on. And Lin has had some monster games. Lin is what he said he is - a young nba player who is improving. He has improved over the course of the season, clearly. He's at least a capable nba point guard. Given how young he is and how hard he works I expect him to get better. The question is by how much. But I'm encouraged when you look at his 3-point shooting over the last three months - it's at 40%. Given how bad a shooter he's supposed to be, that's a dramatic improvement.

This is the same NBA that just gave Mike Brown a 5 year, 20 million dollar deal. The same coach who got fired after 5 games this season and couldn't win a title with Lebron.
Not hating on Mike Brown...but you're looking at the wrong place if you think NBA people are paid like normal folks.
If Lin were black or white he would have gotten multiple deals for more years and money.

Part of Lin's fame is being Asian....

Also I don't see why people keep on bringing race or anything like that

Part of Lin's demise is being Asian. Part of being undrafted and also with no DI scholarships is being Asian.

Replace Wade and Bosh with Big Z and Mo Williams, and seem how many titles Miami would win.

Mike Brown makes an average salary for a veteran coach. He got less than he did from the Lakers.
