[NYT] Woman Who Mailed Ricin to Trump Is Sentenced to 21 Years in Prison

So basically if you threatened to cancel Robert L Peters, your ass is grass, but if you do the same to Trump and his son, you will live?

 

No problem with the sentence, apart from my general objection that prison sentences in the US are generally too long. Even if I were to accept that the ricin was merely a "warning" I don't think that mitigates much of anything. It's political intimidation with violence. It's dangerous to the workers that have nothing to do with Trump but are transporting her package. And, in the end, would never end up on Trump's desk anyway so the plan was stupid on top of being callous and undemocratic. Terrorist needs a time out.

 

Threatening a kid like that is seriously mental. Trump too, I guess...
