Oh fiouuuu I got scared because for somehow I read McGrady: I will be myself next Yao. I feel released.
“I love baseball right to this day more than I love basketball,” he said, lounging at the Knicks’ hotel here earlier this week. “I love it. I love it.” What a baby. All giddy like his parents just bought him some peanuts and popcorn at the ballpark. Again for the millionth time its not that McGrady has other interests, but the way they're expressed. This isnt like the old Karl Malone "farmin' and ranchin' is my first love" sayings. Its almost like he'd rather be doing baseball, and basketball is some kind of LETDOWN fall back option. Like a guy working at the post office who just got cut from Philadelphia Eagles training camp.
“There’s no question I will be an All-Star,” McGrady said. “Not right now, but next year when I come into the season, I will be an All-Star-caliber player, there’s no question.” “I’m fighting back,” he said. “Whether I’ll be the player that I once was, that remains to be seen. But I’m striving for it.” So we go from "i'm sure i'll be an allstar" to "not sure I can make it back to what I was". Bipolar?
lol the guy is just sad. wonder where all the tofs are now. how anyone can defend the guy from the crap that is in this article. i used to love tmac as a player. even last year with the surgery and all, i felt that maybe he actually needed it and was actually expecting a fully health tmac this year. but seeing what he is saying now, i have lost all respect for him.
So he pretty much admits that he was rooting against the Rockets in the Portland series by saying watching the Rockets advance without him "destroyed him" and made him feel hurt.
Yep. Instead of being happy about it and how that might have helped young players confidence like Brooks and Landry, it was all about him. How HE could have helped the team.
"I want to bring something special to Houston..." (Every single year he has played here, first round exit. I guess you could consider that special...) "If we don't make it past the first round, it's on me." (Houston loses to Utah in 7 games...) "It's not my fault." (Houston loses to Utah in 6 games, McGrady clearly frustrated.) "I feel like I'm healthy and not getting enough minutes." (McGrady traded to the Knicks where he plays on and off due to his knee...) "I'll be an all-star next season." (He'll probably retire...) Seriously, all this guy does is talk and not back it up... I'm tired of believing him, and I really do hope one he actually accomplishes something in the league, however I do not support him outside the game of basketball. This guy is fool's gold.
Idiot. They already did. They advanced to second round and were the only team to stretch out the eventual champions to 7 games. With him they have never moved past the 1st round. The more this fools talks, the more he makes a fool out of himself.
Well.....one could argue that everybody who posted in this thread is still cares(to varying degrees) in the ghost of Tracy McGrady
Most of them have switched to become TOH-H, still chirping in each and every McGrady thread - crying about how posters are lame for posting in McGrady threads. Irony, it's fun for you and me! Anger What?
