Kendrick Perkins on Harden "disappearing" in the Finals against Miami

    https://www.basketballnetwork.net/kendrick-perkins-on-2012-finals-loss-james-harden-disappeared/

Never mind the fact that Chris Bosh and the rest of the Heat team came out and said that Miami's game plan was to neutralize a 22 year old. But keep telling your stories, Perk. Article below was written in 2012.

Perkins plays a key role. He’s that big oaf that the other hosts can laugh at.

Just to balance out this noise, Perkins was a damn fine starting C in his prime on those nasty Celtics teams. He earned my respect and there were times when I wish we had him on the Rockets.

His injury against the LAL in their 2nd ring run absolutely killed the Celtic’s chances.

His defensive positioning in the low post was beyond tremendous. Also an excellent screener.

At least his facial hair game has improved. That landing strip he was rocking earlier in his career was weird.

I agree on the screener comment, he became exceptional at it... and he also was very good at positioning. He was a somewhat limited athlete but he carved out a nice career, won a lot of games and made a lot of money.... but it was still weird seeing a smaller rich kid beat his ass in front of a hundred people.

    Yeah strange.

He's aiming at Harden but that quote says more about KD and Westbrook than it does Harden.

Mike Greenberg to host NBA Countdown

Greenberg will be joined by Stephen A. Smith, Michael Wilbon, Jalen Rose and Magic Johnson for the biggest games, sources said.

    ESPN declined comment.

ESPN is banking on some of its biggest daily marquee names to bring panache to its top pregame that is often compared to TNT’s legendary “Inside The NBA.” In its two decades of owning the NBA’s rights, ESPN has constantly made changes on its top studio show.

Meanwhile, Smith, ESPN’s $12 million per year man, has pushed to form his own Countdown “Big 3” with his buddies, Wilbon and Johnson. Smith will get his wish.

ESPN’s Wednesday Countdown shows will also have a new look with “SportsCenter’s” Michael Eaves handling the hosting duties, joined by Richard Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins and Chiney Ogwumike.

Besides Wojnarowski, Malika Andrews and Marc Spears will be featured reporters on Countdown.

Greeny used to be pretty good in the early days of Mike and Mike but then he got all dolled up for TV and really hasn't been the same since. That or he just got worse without Golic.

ESPN ….. takes the fun out of sports. So I don’t watch that roast circus.

Felt like Greeny wanted to create something new, but got lazy, and ended up doing the exact same thing with the exact same guests. Mike and Mike was relatively intelligent show when it had to be. too bad that got trashed. Although I hate Notre Dame, the almuni like golic coming out of there add up to intelligent, but relatable sport talk.

I enjoyed listening to them on my way to work every morning because Golic was always a voice of reason and didn't require/include hot takes to get attention.

Sounds like Sage Steele got herself in trouble a month ago and was pulled too. I missed that. It seems like more ado about nothing to me, but you need to wear kid gloves these days.
