This would make sense and be funnier if that was Nichols's "brand" or whatever. For example, I think Will Cain is on Fox. That made sense.

They got Malika, Cassidy..etc, other younger (and cheaper) pool to draw from.

Also wouldn't be surprised if closed door, they gave her a severance package so she won't sue. Management goofed on not properly giving a promised assignment.

ESPN is a dumpster. Still need to read that book about the shenanigans that went on behind the scenes that came out a few years ago.

NBC getting goodwill for trying to repair her image... yeah I don't think they care about that

Of course you know why. Yes, she was correct (ESPN does seem to overdo it with "black guy one side, white guy other side, black girl in the middle" thing), but the African-American contingent there is going to take what she said personally. And of course that audio got out.

Well, why not "black girl one side, white girl other side, black guy in the middle"? Let's be honest, female commentators are still tokens in the sports world.

Viewers prefer watching Men go ballistic arguing against each other. They prefer women to be a calming or just-the-facts voice in the room -- hence they are often positioned as moderators or sideline reporters. And if they are going to be opinionated or argumentative, they better at least be good looking.

I think you just described the new remake on Fox: Three's a Company Staring Katt Williams, Wanda Sykes and Lisa Lampanelli
