LMAO are you serious? On the Tweet, I thought you were being serious but its only an act to act stupid.... Just in case your phone cant open tweets, and actually are this stupid and ignorant.

Our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day. That’s why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color. Learn more and apply now

I agree with your point about companies promoting diversity, and that one can't simultaneously say that needs to happen and also criticize people for pointing out that companies are trying to do just that.

However, this statement "That’s why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color." is not the same as this statement "United airlines is only accepting resumes for black men and women or minorities." It doesn't even necessarily mean they intend to reject resumes based on race. For instance, their plan might be to reach out more aggressively to women and people of color to apply. I see nothing wrong with that goal. Women or people of color make up a much higher percentage of the population than 50%, after all.

I was not being literal on they are only accepting resume for people of color or women, but I get your point. I just don't feel like there should be any type of goal based on any type of race or gender. The goal should be to hire the highest qualified personnel possible regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.

you sh*t brain this you right?

"United airlines is only accepting resumes for black men and women or minorities"

I can understand why you are terrified with having to compete for a job against "black men and women or minorities"

So, you don't think industries should try to market themselves to communities that tend to be less represented in their candidate pool? Couldn't that be part of their strategy to find the most qualified personnel possible -- casting a wider net?

This is the most diverse country in the world, a young man or women can be anything they want regardless of skin color or gender. In the last 12 years up to today we have had black presidents and now a black/sort of women vice president. We have had black Supreme Justices, successful minorities in every single market or career in existence. We have millionaire Latinos, Black and AZN people around the country with the same freedom and equal opportunities.

However there are different walks of life and people don't get to chose into which one they are born into. Poverty is a tough obstacle to overcome, education ties into it. Industries should absolutely reach out to the masses with opportunities for those who need and want a way out. Industries, should not cater to any one specific race or gender. Should not attach a goal or a number for hires of a certain race, skin color or gender. This is racist, this is creating race division. This is not right, but corporations will still tweet this bs out to cater and to be a part of movement that no one asked for and no one needed other than professionals politicians that were so out of touch with the people of this country that they alongside big tech and media outlets decided to sell America as a racist, white supremacist's haven.

We did not become the greatest country in the world by denying other races, by hating people for skin color or gender. We became the greatest country in the world because we fought for the greatest thing a country could give its people. Freedom.....

There are racist men and women in this country, but this country does not need this movement. Politicians do....

I have no dog in this fight but ESPN effed Nichols and I agree it’s best for everyone to part ways.

ESPN had knowledge of the audio for over a year and did nothing. Now that it’s public ESPN pulls Nichols off the Finals?

How about taking care of the issue when it happened? Sounds like ESPN didn’t give a ****.

Slavery was helpful in us becoming the "greatest" country in the world, certainly. You can make a case that "denying other races" was America's foundational engine...

Right, but that is how business and the world works. People that have connections to powerful people, will often use those connections to protect themselves or to belittle a rival. I am not saying it is a nice thing to do, but it certainly isn't remotely shocking.

You may be reading too much into this. For representatives and those that deal in image, Metoo# and BLM# were difficult and a chore.... he had a job where he protects the image of his client, and whenever there is a political issue involved, it is dicey and there is the chance for negative back lash. He didn't say anything about BLM or Metoo being stupid or not a worthy cause.

People are reading too much into what was said during what was thought to be a private conversation.
