I think most fans thought something was wrong, but assumed it was an nba initiative to promote 2002 Kobe/Shaq, 2005 High scoring Mavs, 2006 DWade (and shot at Cuban).

    NBA IN A 'FIX'

I can't wait to find out who's involved with this. I can't help but think of the palyoff game 2 years ago were Finley was clearly out of bounds and stole the ball from Yao. It wouldn't surprise me if that was the ref who's behind this scandal.

Crazy. The NBA has looked like a model citizen compared to the NFL and MLB lately. I guess it was bound to receive it's share of problems.

BTW, I'm convinced that the Rockets were on the losing end of every single one of these fixes! ;)

It says the FBI will make arrests soon. Wouldn't it make sense for them to have already arrested the people involved, considering this out for the public to read? I can't imagine the ref having a good morning, only to have it spoiled by reading this article.

If it's not Dick Bavetta, it damn well should be. No referee ever made more bullsh**, game-changing calls, and no referee ever showed more favortism for big-market teams.

Stern is going to try to keep the damage to a minimum, and I'm guessing we won't know who it is until the person comes forward (I heard on 610 that would next week, I think) .

With all the bad calls and horribly officiated games in rockets past (The last couple of seasons have not been as bad as years past, with a few exceptions, IMO), I have a few refs that I would think might do something like this, but really I think that mostly those guys just had personal issues with the rockets, and therefore I won't bring my personal grudge against them (Javie, Nies).

What sucks about this is that our worst fears as fans are true... sometimes the games ARE affected by something other than the play on the court. You might have thought before that hearing this would be justification of being pissed and skeptical at game X where you saw the worst officiating of your life, but really it just makes the whole thing unpalatable.

Sad sad day for the NBA.

Forget about the NY Post. It's an associated press article. It's made it to Yahoo and Fox.

rockets/spurs 1992, david robinson scores when the game was clearly over, screwing the rockets out of home court vs the sonics.
