a better offense would help our D.

were getting burned in the fourth bc we can't make shots.

Trading Brooks to rent Nash for half a season would be moronic. Look, Nash is amazing, but he wouldn't help our chances enough to be worth it... not even close.

Fixed. Nash is under contract for this season and next. There's no guarantee Brooks will even be here past this year after they didnt extend him.

We're not going to trade for Melo if he doesn't re-sign. So you can just throw that out of the equation....

yeah, that's pretty much what i was saying, since Melo will rather wait to go to NY, than sign an extension

There is no way Rockets should or would trade Brooks for Nash. Not Brooks. We have chosen the direction we want to go in, and we have to follow it. We are not contenders this year wither so this does not make sense. But, if we can trade Martin for Nash I'd do it.

If somehow we could get Nash, I belive Carmelo would follow. He would love to play with Nash and when you have that depth they could become a REAL contenders

I think if Yao's career is over the Rockets would be even more open to trading Brooks or simply letting him go in free agency if his price is too high. If Yao were healthy the Rockets would have locked up Brooks to an extension.

why would you trade martin and not brooks? Technically they're both the direction we decided to go in, so why is it ok to trade one and not the other? By trading martin you clog up the PG spot anyway. To become contenders things have to change, this could be one change of more to come this season.
