So, Mr. Supreme Justice (as opposed to Richard Justice), if correct then a hearty THANKEW. Mods, is A-Train right as rain, as usual, in this interpretation?
So, somebody tell me. How is Boki different from Scott Padgett? They're the same player except Boki is younger and can slash. Sometimes it takes younger players a little bit of time to get used to playing in the forums that they play in the NBA. Boki is going to come around and be a very decent player. Too bad it won't sour here. Because Padgett is Boki with less athleticism but more experience.

Nachbar is a lot less efficient scoring wise and everything else. Padgett ihas been able to keep his eFG% and TS% over .500 during his good seasons, Nachbar eFG% is a lot lower save for his glorious 2005 run with New Orleans. I'm guessing a lot of thsi stems from Nachbar's crappy 2 point %. Nacbar's career PER ratings are just absolutely HORRIBLE also, the guy rarely breaks double digits and has a career average of 9.0; while Padgett's 13.2 career PER is fairly decent for a bench player (he's gotten over the 15.0 mean a few seasons) They might seem the same, but the results on the court are not.
Tracy was still playing in 03-04 season and has not played for the Rockets since 95. I'm pretty sure the Tracy Murry rule was in place while he played for other teams.
This is the most shocking basketball article I've ever read. It just HAS to be one of those feel good pre-season fluff pieces - like every year when they write about how Vin Baker is going to come make a come back. That said, I'd love to see Boki do well. He's a good guy. I just have a hard time believing he's a good basketball player.
This thread is absurd. Nachbar has all the tools and all the talent. I call BS on everyone here dissing him PERIOD Rudy T RUINED that guy. If you don't see that guy has all the skills and tools you no ZERO about the game end of discussion. I have no doubt in a couple of years he could be a 15/5 guy on a playoff team.
Yeah, his 11 ppg on an underachieving Slovenia team showed the world that his skills could not be denied. It is amazing that such an international powerhouse would waste his skills in the NBA.
With Boki it has always been about confidence, he has the tools, and the skills, but he has never gotten comfortable. Maybe now he will...... I think he can develop into a solid rotation player......worthy of his being picked in the draft. However, he is no superstar.....I think I bet Sam that he would average like 7.5ppg....or some such...hardly 15. DD
Confidence? I guess, but for me it's more about years worth of being a bust (remember, he was drafted a few slots ahead of Tayshaun Prince -- that's the one that really hurst given that Prince was the only comparably rated SF -- as well as Nenad Krstic and Carlos Boozer), save for a 3 month period where he managed to score 8 points in garbage time for an abysmal New Orleans team. "Think he can develop" is nice if the guy has been in the league for one or two years but 5 years later, when they're still playing that song, it's time to change the tune. My particular objection to everybody touting him was that DD and others were repeatedly screaming things like "JVG IS RUINING BOKI, HE"S DESTROYING HIM, WE'RE WASTING ALL THIS TALENT AND WE TRADED HIM FOR NOTHING!" -- reality has indicated otherwise so far. But hey we can bet again if you want. Let's use PER, I bet he never gets over 15.0 (average) while playing in 50 games a year.
I was at the game, too. But, that's the first time I've seen the replays. I cannot believe those announcers are so naive to think Malone wasn't capable of getting out of Boki's way. freaking unbelievable how many times people try to rationalize Malone's bullsh!t
