board is full of haters. the knicks aren't a great team, but they look to be an above average team, and they seem to be getting better. amare and felton are one great offensive combination it seems. if they can shore up that defense (huge if), they could be a very good team.
So many Knicks haters its ridiculous.. lol. By the way, Knicks will win 3-4 games out of the 10 that previous poster mentioned. They're really not as BAD as you think.
The Knicks have got offensive horses, Gallinari who can reel off 12 points in a minute on 3s, and a bizarre commitment to defense. They could win 45 this year. Amazing...
Beating lottery team consistently is all you need to get into playoff. It's not like they plan to win a championship this year.
Knicks have only won 2 games against teams with a record above 0.500, when Boozer and David West is out. If they get 2-3 wins against healthy teams over 0.500, I will start believing. I see a team that will have 30-39 wins at the end of the season.
Knicks Strength of Schedule for the SEASON: 0.406 (30th of 30 teams) Knicks Strength of Schedule for the Last 10 games: 0.399 (29th of 30 teams) They are beating bad teams, games they should win simply based on having Amare forcing teams to play super fast pace. Things will even out.
Except the Lakers have won over 70% of the games and lost only twice to a team with a losing record(Grizzlies and Rockets), while the knicks have won 59% and lost to losing teams like the 76ers, Warriors, Bucks, Trailblazers, and Rockets on a comparable schedule strength.
This definitively proves the Knicks are not as good as the defending NBA champions - thank you for clarifying this for us.
First off, Lakers SOS is 0.416 while the Knicks SOS is 0.409 so you got that wrong. Second, I never said that at all. I said they are beating teams they are supposed to beat right now. Of course if they gel and get good team chemistry is it highly probable they will make the playoffs. I think most of the board expected them to compete for the 8th playoff spot in the East once they got Amare. All I was saying is that the Knicks are 14-9 playing some really bad teams, and after stringing together some wins against some bad teams it is easier to beat good teams. Most likely once they start hitting a stretch of average to above average teams they could just as easily start to flounder and start a spiral. It is hard to say what a young team that is with many relatively new pieces will do over time. Plus who knows if injuries will become a factor at some point.
They're actually 3-0 in that 10-game stretch he posted. I could see them winning 2 more out of their next 7.
you mean 3-0. i guess its off now, but its purpose was to spark interest in a thread, so you could reply to it over and over without adding anything relevant to it. now, please continue on with your subtle sarcastic internet posts. YOU WIN
By the way, my prediction was right. Yes, I will bask in all this glory for correctly calling this one!
