5th straight 30+ game for him I think. Kinda wish we pulled the trigger on that deadline deal last year with the Suns.
Don't be fooled, Amare does this EVERY YEAR. Amare goes on a ridiculous run of 30+ scoring against bad teams, after that no one ever talks about him again, of course I expect him to do it more regularly since he is playing over in the EC now.
Amare didn't do that well. Didn't rebound worth crap. Kevin Love played just as much defense, but pulled down 3x as many rebounds.
Toronto, Washington, and Cleveland are almost automatic wins.. I don't see them beating any of the other teams. 3-7 Their January schedule is just as difficult. Almost every team in January has a winning record currently.
The last time people were telling me I was crazy to say they'd make to playoffs and that they were going to be "exposed" (Friday) they flew to New Orleans and beat them.
They get exposed in December and win 3 games. The Hornets were forced to go small for most of the game.
Random stat: 7 straight 15+ rebound games for Kevin Love. Impressive. Ben Wallace had 14 straight 15+ rebound games in 2002-2003 season. Mutombo had 8 straight 15+ rebound games in 1999-2000 season. Rodman had a 22-game streak of 15+ rebounds way back in the 1991-1992 season.
Those stats are impressive, but I would always take the stats put up on the worst team in the league with a grain of salt. BTW Darko is leading the NBA in blocks.
It's simply a reflection of how bad the wolves' perimeter D is (ridnour....) and how good their post D is.
I'm surprised they actually even are going to play the games since it's been universally decided here that they will lose to any team with a record above .500, other than the ones that they have beaten. Seems like a waste of time to me.
yeah i was one of those haters in the offseason just hoping for a new york train wreck....but they've actually done a solid job. the only way the train wreck is happening is if amare gets hurt. he is having the best season of his career (since he doesn't have nash) and he is really impressive to watch. so basically, the JJ trade wasn't really that bad. we paid about 7 million for hill, first, and option. it had the outlier chance to be a huge win if major injury problems happened for the knicks....but they didn't happen so far. the knicks paid a pretty solid price to purge their roster, and it has worked out for them so far.
